Taylor Frankie Paul insists that there is no reason for him to stop posting on social media because of his ongoing legal problems.
In an Instagram post shared on Friday, July 24, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives the star, 32, turned his shoulder when he was criticized.
The post showed a green screen backdrop of a burning city while Taylor got her hair done.
“My life and people are upset that I'm still online,” the text covering the clip read. He then added, “Me: how do I clip my fingernail.”
To accompany the video, Taylor used audio from an anonymous user's social media video, where the poster was criticizing the reality TV star.
“Who's still rocking Taylor Frankie Paul? And they're just scared of him?” said the voice. “Because I will be. I'm afraid if I just post this video, you'll get into my comments.”
Referring to the sound in the post's caption, Taylor wrote, “I'm not sure what to be afraid of.. [All] I cry and try to live a hard life with my hair tips.”
Taylo also shared a post on her Instagram Story later Friday detailing “this week's highlights.” According to Paul, these include, “trauma therapy,” “PCIT therapy,” “drive with my trainer” and “kissing” his kids.
The axed Bachelorette faces ongoing custody battles with her lovers Father Paul again Dakota Mortensen. (The reality star shares children Indy, 8, and Ocean, 6, with Tate and son Ever, 2, with Mortensen.)
Earlier this week, Taylor reflected on dealing with the “haters” as she faces controversy.
Writing on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, July 21, Taylor said “hate is a sign of growth. If you don't have haters, you ain't doing no s***. As support and growth grows, unfortunately, so does noise.”
Taylor added that he “learned over time that their hatred, opinions, assumptions, judgments, assumptions are not my thing.”
He concluded by saying, “That's for them to see. It can be hard sometimes. You've shown me kindness by examining me, so remember to allow that too. I got you. You're with me. Now go cry … it always helps. I'll be doing the same.”
After pleading guilty to a 2023 domestic violence case, Taylor was involved in a separate dispute with Mortensen that was investigated by the Draper City Police Department in Utah in February. Both sides have publicly denied allegations of domestic violence. (Among the investigations, Taylor's season of The Bachelorette aired on ABC's spring program.)
The Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office later declined to file criminal charges against Taylor in April.
Mortensen was then granted temporary custody of Ever, while Taylor was restricted to eight hours of supervised visitation each week. A judge then signed orders of protection between Mortensen and Taylor, requiring them to stay 100 feet apart for three years. (Their residency agreement was changed earlier this month so Taylor could get unsupervised time with Ever, and Mortensen was given long weekends.)
