Tottenham Hotspur enter the new season full of excitement with Roberto De Zerbi's first full campaign in charge.

The Italian guided the club to Premier League safety on the final day of a dismal campaign that saw Spurs struggle to defeat for much of the season.

Sandro Tonali He joined from Newcastle in a club-record £100m deal, with De Zerbi quick to land a midfielder he knows well from his roots in Brescia.

Mateus Fernandes He also arrived for a hefty fee, joining West Ham for £85m after Spurs lost out to Arsenal and Manchester United.

Jan Paul van Hecke completed a £52m move from Brighton, reuniting with De Zerbi from their time together on the south coast.

Marcos Senesi again Andy Robertson both joined free transfers, adding more defensive experience, while Martin Dubravka it comes as a goalkeeper cover as well Cole Ramsey completes a free transfer to Aston Villa.

Luka Vuskovic left for Brighton in a £50m deal, the biggest move of the summer. The young defender is thought to have a very high ceiling, but he has been looking for playing time which Spurs cannot provide. Tottenham have included a massive sell-on clause and similar rights to any future bids.

Alejo Veliz again Alfie Devine both moved on for small fees, joining EC Bahia and Preston North End respectively, while Will Lankshear moved to Middlesbrough for £10m (plus £10m of add-ons) and Tynan Thompson completed a £4m move to Manchester United.

Yves Bissouma he left after his contract expired, along with several other young players who were released as free agents. Radu Dragusin he joined Fiorentina on loan with an obligation to buy. Luca Gunter again Yusuf Akhamrich they have also borrowed.

Tottenham's record signing is Sandro Tonaliwho joined from Newcastle in 2026 for £100m (£92.5m up front and £7.5m in add-ons).

It was the first time Spurs have paid nine figures for a player following an impressive season for Newcastle in which the Italian played 35 of 38 top-flight games.

De Zerbi knows Tonali well, the two are from the same part of Italy, and the Azzurri international's arrival has made the rest of the Premier League aware of Tottenham's desire under their new manager.

Tottenham's record sales are Harry Kanesold to Bayern Munich in 2023 for £86.4m.

The club's all-time top scorer left after 13 years and 435 appearances, having been repeatedly linked with a move away before moving to the Bundesliga, where he continued to score freely.

Kane is also England's leading goalscorer, having scored six goals at the World Cup this summer to take his tally to 85.
