Serena Pitt Thanks Fans Amid Joe Amabile Brain Tumor

Bachelor Nation alum Serena Pitt thanks fans for their “love and support” after the husband's news Joe AmabileBrain tumor.
“Finding out that Joe has a brain tumor has come with so many emotions. It's been so scary, overwhelming and overwhelming at times,” Serena, 28, wrote on Instagram on Tuesday, July 14. “We feel blessed to have an amazing community that supports us and helps us stay positive through it all!”
He concluded, “I really believe that Joe will get through this, and no matter what happens we will get through it together.”
Serena posted a black and white photo of herself and Joe, 40, making s'mores. (The couple officially married in October 2022 and tied the knot for the second time nearly a year later in a grand ceremony attended by family and friends.)
“This photo from last weekend was full of endless laughter, much needed,” Serena told her fans.
Joe shared his love in the comments section, noting that his s'mores were “better.”
The Bachelorette alum announced via Instagram on Monday, July 13, that doctors found a “blueberry-sized lesion” on her brain, which appears to be a tumor. Joe revealed that he will have surgery in two weeks to be “removed and evaluated.”
According to Joe, “it's been a crazy few weeks” since he got the news.
“I definitely did not expect this,” he continued. “I think it's one of those things where you say, 'Oh, something like this would never happen to me.' And here I am.”
The former Bachelor in Paradise star made the announcement at New York's Sloan Kettering Cancer Center via her Instagram post.
“This past month has had many ups and downs to say the least. After many scans and MRIs I have what appears to be a stage 1 brain tumor. In two weeks I will be having a craniotomy to remove it – yes brain surgery,” he wrote. “I'm doing my best to stay positive during this time and I'm lucky to have a lot of support from family and friends.”
Joe concluded by saying, “I went back and forth about what I wanted to share on social media but finally this is part of my life now, it's possible again. We're on a new journey.”
