Scrubs Renewal Loses Many Key Characters After Cast Exits

I Scrubs The revival will look a little different from season 2 following the exit of many characters.

Many stores confirmed on Monday, July 20, that Joel Kim Boosterwho played Dr. Kevin Park in season 1, will not be returning. X Mayowho reappeared as Charge Nurse Raymond, will also not return in season 2.

16 cast members are confirmed to return – including returning stars Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke again Donald Faison. In the new group of trainees introduced in season 1, Ava Bunn is promoted to the standard thread.

Other actors who play interns – Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Layla Mohammadi again Amanda Morrow – are set to recur in season 2. Scrubs is also growing with new characters such as Rachel Bilsonit's Charlie.

“This is not a show about children, but the audience wants to know about their family life and home life, so we want to show a little bit of that,” the presenter. Aseem Batra he told Deadline in April.

Other actors like John C. McGinley again Judy Reyes they still appear in between filming other projects besides Scrubs.

“Both of these shows were amazing and they are working with us to get those artists to Vancouver [where Scrubs films],” Batra added, “So we're going to do everything we can to keep them in the fold, because they're part of this in a big way, but we're happy with their success in other areas, and we'd love them as much as we can get them.”

Scrubswhich aired from 2001 to 2010, followed the lives of staff at Sacred Heart Hospital. The hit series starred Braff, Chalke, Faison, Reyes, Neil Flynn, Ken Jenkins and McGinley before it was returned for a ninth season with the title School of Med.

The last season of the show moved the setting to a medical school to introduce new characters. Only Braff, Faison and McGinley remained regular cast members while others made guest appearances. Kerry Bishe, Eliza Coupe, Dave Franco again Michael Mosley were brought in, with Bishe taking over as the show's new narrator after Braff.

According to the official synopsis, season 2 of the revival will show JD, Turk and Elliot as they “have risen from trainees to idols at Sacred Heart.”

“Now, respected doctors are inspiring the next generation while balancing the highs and lows of working at the hospital,” the description continued. “Along with characters new and old, they navigate this next chapter with laughs, heart and some surprises along the way.”
