The first ever SM Active Hub Pickleball Trio Challenge concludes with an exciting grand finals

The first-ever SM Active Hub Pickleball Trio Challenge marked a milestone in SM Supermalls' efforts to grow the sport, bringing together teams from DUPR 9 and DUPR 11 in 11 categories to the Grand Finals after making it through the qualifying rounds at SM Bicutan, SM Sta. Mesa, SM Sta. Rosa, SM Marikina, and SM Center Muntinlupa.

The active hub of SM just finished its for the first time Pickleball Trio Challenge adrenaline-fueled Grand Finals it stuck July 12, 2026 of SM Pickleball, Four E-Com Center MOA Complex in Pasay City to bring together the top teams that qualify for the tournament.

Featuring a unique three-player team format, the tournament encouraged strategic team play and raised the level of competition. Teams compete in the DUPR 9 and DUPR 11 divisions, with divisions determined by the Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating (DUPR) of each team's three players. Throughout the tournament, players demonstrate exceptional skills, teamwork, strategy, and excellence throughout the game.

The Grand Finals marked the end of five qualifying legs held across SM Bicutan, SM Sta. Mesa, SM Sta. Rosa, SM Marikina, and SM Center Muntinlupa. A total of 89 teams competed in the qualifying rounds, with the top 32 teams advancing to the Grand Finals.

SM Active Hub's first ever Pickleball Trio Challenge brought players together in a celebration of friendly competition, camaraderie, and the growing pickleball community.

Group Manager K, joined by Keane, Sunshine and Prince took the championship title in the DUPR 9 category, and The Team Zonecomposed of Glorie, Zacky and Renzo, emerged as champions of DUPR 11. The winning teams advanced to the Grand Finals from SM City Sta. Fair events for Mesa and SM City Marikina, respectively. Both teams earned the distinction of being the inaugural champions of the SM Active Hub Pickleball Trio Challenge.

The event also featured two Grand Parades of Finalists, one in each category, showing the growth of the pickle community in a country where SM Active Hub is at the forefront of sports development.

DUPR 11 major finalists and members of the pickle community gathered in the Grand Parade of Finalists, celebrating the spirit of the upcoming competition.
