Ryan Gosling Joins MCU, More Good News at Comic-Con

The spirit of vengeance is alive! Ryan Gosling finally joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe at San Diego Comic-Con 2026.
Gosling, 45, made a surprise appearance at Marvel Studios' Hall H panel on Saturday, July 25, to confirm the reboot Ghost Rider franchise. (Nicolas Cage previously played the character in two movies — in 2007 Ghost Rider and 2012 Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance – that exist outside of MCU continuity.)

Ryan Gosling Will Star in 'Ghost Rider' Movie
Gosling surprised fans with an unannounced appearance in Hall H to confirm that he will play the superhero Ghost Rider in the 2028 reboot directed by. Deadpool and WolverineLevy.
I Project Hail Mary The actor has publicly campaigned for the role of Ghost Rider in the past – revealing on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast from 2022 that he had discussed the part with Marvel Studios.
During the Hall H panel, Gosling described Ghost Rider as “a character I've wanted to play for a long time.”
On the other hand, Levy praised Gosling during the Comic-Con panel as “absolute s***t” and promised. Ghost Rider it will be worth the wait for the fans.

Ghost Rider is an antihero who first appeared in the pages of Marvel Comics in 1972 when Johnny Blaze, the first incarnation of the hero, sold his soul to the demon Mephisto to save the life of his adoptive father. After Blaze's head was mysteriously transformed into a flaming skull, Ghost Rider hopped on his signature black motorcycle to wreak havoc on the underworld.
There have been other Ghost Rider appearances throughout the decades – including high school student Robbie Reyes, played by. Gabriel Luna in the Marvel area Agents of SHIELD TV show.

Acclaimed filmmaker Ryan Cooler announced during the Hall H panel that he would be returning to write and direct Black Panther III.

Jonsson is expected to play T'Challa II, the son of the deceased Chadwick Boseman's is the iconic Black Panther. The character was teased at the end of 2022 Black Panther: Wakanda Forever where Shuri (Letitia Wright) found out that T'Challa and Nakia (Lupita Nyongo) secretly adopted a son named Toussaint. (Boseman died in 2020.)

'Avengers: Doomsday' Reveals Returning Star and New Photos

Avengers: Doomsday opens December 18 and will be followed Avengers: Secret Wars December 17, 2027.
