According to multiple reports, Abbey, 27, and David, 31, have split after meeting on a blind date in July 2021 during season 1. Love on the Spectrumwhich aired on Netflix in May 2022.

Fans quickly fell in love with the two as they chronicled their relationship over the course of four seasons on the reality show.
When season 4 premiered earlier this month, Abbey revealed her idea of taking things to the next level with David as she expressed her desire to get engaged, asking her mother, “What if she gives me a wedding ring?”
While some viewers hoped that the clues meant that the proposal was close to the lovely couple, others noticed that Abbey and David have been appearing in each other's posts on Instagram and TikTok frequently as of late.
David recently appeared on Abbey's social media in December 2025, when he wrote about their trip to Universal Studios and shared a highlight of the past year. Meanwhile, Abbey was seen spending Christmas with David as she captioned a photo of the two at the time, “I hope everyone has a great holiday with family, friends and loved ones.”
Ever since he became famous Love on the Spectrum – which follows people with autism as they navigate the world of dating – Abbey and David have spoken several times about their plans to settle down in the future.
