Hayden Panettiere Details Bad Breakup From Milo Ventimiglia

Hayden Panettiere looks back on his 12-year gap love Heroes the costar Milo Ventimigliarevealing that he had thought of marrying her before they broke up.
“Every relationship I've ever been in, I've invested in all of them,” Panettiere, 36, said to himself. Us Weekly in this week's cover story as we discuss his memorial, It's Me: Countingwhich came out on May 19. “I saw him as my partner and that I hoped it would continue and evolve and lead to marriage.”
She continues, “It was a point of contention that I couldn't put 'I' before 'I love you' and at the time, I didn't realize or understand why it made me feel uncomfortable. I could just say 'I love you' in a relaxed way. The older she was, the better she knew what that meant. And that meant a lot.
The huge age gap between the costars – Panettiere was 18 and Ventimiglia 30 when they first started dating – created a lot of public discussion during the two-year relationship.
Panettiere and Ventimiglia first dated in 2007 before breaking up in February 2009. At the time, a source told Exclusive. Us that there was a “lifestyle conflict” and that Heroes the costars were in very different places.
Looking back on that tumultuous time, Panettiere shares it Us that the last days of her relationship with Ventimiglia were hectic, as she broke up with him and then quickly took him back when she started crying “weirdly”. The two ended up parting ways after a while.
Asked if he thinks Ventimiglia took him back because of his tears, he admits Us“One hundred percent it was just because I was on the toilet, crying out loud.
“It was out of left field, nothing big or explosive happened. Nothing was really wrong. Nobody cheated,” he said. “I remember the look on his face of shock at how wrong my reaction was, and he quickly took it back.”

I Nashville alum officially comes out as bisexual in his memoir, revealing that he never felt comfortable discussing his attraction to women until recently.
“It was always a fear of not being perfect, and what my team would think about it, what the public's opinion would be about it,” he said. Us. “It wasn't the right time, and it was a very difficult topic to explain well. I wanted to make sure that I really sat down and chose my words carefully and was able to tell my story honestly, that people understood. On the other hand, it's sad that I had to wait until I was 36 years old to share that part of me, but it's better late than never, right?”
Panettiere adds, “Now that I know this book is coming out, and that I've chosen to share it with the world, I'm free to say that I'm bisexual. I'm free to say that with confidence, yes, I'm bisexual. I said it!”
