There really aren't many actors more widely viewed than Denzel Washington. Fans flock to his films because he is one of the best actors in what he does. That seems to be the case right now, as two of his movies are currently in the top ten most streamed movies on Amazon. in 2014 Estimator and 2018 The Equalizer 2 both are among the top ten most watched shows in the United States. That movie The Equalizer 2.
Estimator was the first film in which Denzel Washington played a retired army man, Robert McCall. McCall meets a teenage girl who is forced into trade by the violent Russian mafia. When a girl is in trouble and almost dies because of her informant, Slavi, she cannot stand idly by. McCall visits the man and tries to buy his freedom, but when Slavi refuses, McCall kills him and all his men.
As you might expect, this action puts the Russian mafia behind him. McCall turns full vigilante and anti-hero when he starts killing anyone in his path. After successfully dispatching those responsible for harming this woman, he proves himself to be one Estimatorpromising to help those who cannot defend themselves.
The Sequel
The Equalizer 2 follows many of the same plot points; McCall is now completely out of date and more focused on his own methods of observation, this time working for a government agency on contracts. When the government turns against him, McCall must stop the organization that once employed him.
The Equalizer 2 it has a great cast. While unknown at the time, Pedro Pascal joined Denzel Washington as another actor.
Both movies contain brutal deaths and beautiful sequences involving staged fight scenes. Both movies have also seen a convergence by Denzel Washington and director Antoine Fuqua, who directed the most Training Daywho won Washington an Academy Award for his portrayal of Alonzo.
Reactions to The Equalizer Movies
Estimator it currently has the lowest critic rating of 60% on Rotten Tomatoes, but the highest audience rating of 76%, which shows how much fun people thought the first movie was. Currently, The Equalizer 2 it currently has an audience rating of 60% with a critic rating of 52%.
Those numbers may not sound fair, but this is one of those situations where you have to watch the film for yourself and form your own opinion. Think about Bourne series, but with Denzel Washington leading all the killers.

The first film had a budget of $55 million but achieved high success with a worldwide total of $192 million. It almost quadruples its return which is probably why the studio and director Fuqua went ahead with the sequel. The following had almost identical box office numbers. The budget was $66 million, but the film grossed $190 million worldwide.
