Days of Our Lives: EJ and Rolf Bring Back More Pod People – Is Abigail Next?!

Days of Our Lives puts EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) planned and arranged to revive many of the dead DiMera. So, is Abigail Deveraux DiMera (AnnaLynne McCord) the next recipient of Rolf's miracle healing serum once he gets the kinks out?

I think after the conversation today between EJ and Gwen Rizczech, it seems like there are a lot of people with dead DiMeras waiting to be revived. So, we have a lot to unpack about who else will be brought out of the grave.

EJ And Rolf Are Happy With Lexie's Progress

Okay, so we have EJ and Rolf very happy with the progress their pod person, Lexie Carver, has been making. So this week, we saw a very happy Gwen, thinking they're about to get a big payday from the money she made in this twisted science lab.

But EJ tells Gwen that Rolf is worried. Even though Lexie reaches out for her son Theo Carver's (Cameron Johnson) hand, they don't see the level of brain activity and other signs of awakening that Lexie hopes to see now.

Days of Our Lives: Big Plans for EJ?

So even though EJ is focused on her sister Lexie for now, I suspect EJ has bigger plans in the works. He explained that Lexie was the most intensive patient to resuscitate at the moment. Therefore, his resurrection was part of Stefano DiMera's last wishes.

Now, we know that Phoenix always felt really bad. Because Lexie's inoperable brain cancer was caused by toxic fumes in DiMera's underground sewers. This is because years ago, Andre DiMera kidnapped Lexie, held her down in a tunnel long enough for her to be exposed to this life-threatening poison and killed her. But hopefully with Rolf's serum mixed with Versix, it will work wonders for Lexie.

Now, I expect he will finally wake up in May sweeping. I don't know how long he can live or not. But if you remember, Versix alone saved Bo Brady from the brink of death. And that was from a two-year coma. And he had that extreme sepsis.

Could Abigail be in the Pod?

So Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Cat Green also recently talked about EJ's secret lab and the human pod they found during the rescue of Stephanie and Jeremy. And Rafe suggested that EJ and Rolf might revive Chad DiMera's (Connor Floyd) late wife Abigail when they discussed who might have been in that pod.

So Lexie is not on their radar. It doesn't end there. But new Chad, played by cutie Connor Floyd, also speculated that his brother EJ might be trying to bring Abby back from the dead. In fact, he confronted EJ about it and Chad was telling him about the pod.

Days of Our Lives: Does Clyde Know the Truth?

Now, we know that Abigail's body was never found. His grave was empty. They searched for his remains. They did not find them. And do you remember what hillbilly mobster Clyde Weston said? Before Cat's mother is shot unconscious, Clyde reveals that he knows where Abigail is. Now, he didn't say whether he was dead or alive. But it was a hint that he knew.

So, even though EJ has denied everything, Chad still has his suspicions right now. And he was told back when he was stabbed to death that Abigail was too far gone to use Rolf's serum. That was in the year 2022. Now, that could either be a lie or it could be EJ's fault and Rolf couldn't bring him back yet. But they hoped to have the medical knowledge to bring Abby back one day. So, they, you know, they never saw him in the grave. They put him in a human pod and, I don't know, sandbags or something.

But apparently Clyde somehow knows the truth of what happened to him and why Abby wasn't in her grave. Also, there's the fact that EJ and Gwen have a relationship with Abigail, which makes it interesting. And of course, after Cat Green pretends to resurrect the undead Abigail, it's clear that Chad should be very suspicious.

The story of Abigail and EJ

And let's not forget that Abby and EJ had a rocky relationship back in 2014. That's when they changed actors and Chad had left Salem for a while. And Abby and EJ leaned on each other for emotional support and it turned into a full physical relationship that happened even though EJ was engaged to Sami Brady at the time and EJ's relationship with Abby grew.

They had all these secret matters. There was that nice shower scene in the gym that Sami almost interrupted. And if you remember, Abigail was obsessed with EJ back then. And Abby tried to stop him from finishing their story.

Unfortunately for them, EJ and Abby's story was revealed in an article written by Will Horton. And when Chad returned to Salem that year, when Billy Flynn made his debut, he hit EJ with betrayal and confronted Abigail. Eventually Chad and Abby reconciled and there was no more funny business between him and EJ. And now we have a new Chad and possibly a new Abby.

Young Actress Hired in Days

Former actress Sophia Mattsson General Hospitalshe is a really beautiful actress, blonde, statuesque. Recently hired e Days of Our Lives and much speculation about whether Abby might be resurrected. I saw it being discussed that Sophia will play a new character. But I've never seen it on the official channels and they may have started her as someone with a different name with amnesia that ended up being Abby. There's a lot of ways to go, you know, around that or even if they say that, you're trying to keep the mystery coming. So, I think she would qualify as Abigail.

And Sophia Mattsson is doing it for the first time early next year, which is long enough for them to use any problems in Rolf's human pod and medicine protocol to start bringing anyone back. So right now EJ has the hots for Cat. So is Chad. But since Rachel Black is talking about all that to an angry Thomas DiMera, you know, they're not together right now. But maybe we will see Chad and Cat together in the future.

Can EJ fix Abigail?

So, if EJ sees Cat getting close to Chad, he might get jealous. And don't forget, Rolf knows how to blow people's minds while under his care. Remember, they did that with Stefan DiMera when he went all hot on Chloe. Because Leon bribed Rolf to screw up Stefan's head so he wouldn't pursue Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez).

So, if EJ is salty about Chad and Cat, I wouldn't put it past him to do the same thing with a resurrected Abby if they bring her back. You know, he was really into EJ back in the day. So, I could see her deciding to get revenge and save Abigail to turn on Chad.

Days of Our Lives: Chad Pushes EJ

Especially since Connor Floyd took over the role, we had Chad being aggressive towards EJ in a way he rarely was when Billy Flynn was in the role. His brothers were sad. But now the new Chad is pushing really hard on EJ.

So, I think it would be very exciting for Abigail DiMera to come back. And I think it would be interesting to have Cat and Chad as a couple then and then EJ maybe have Rolf break his mind and lay claim to Abby from the moment she wakes up in the human pod. That would be super super soapy. So, we'll see how it goes.
