With 9-1-1: Nashville renewed for season 2, viewers will be introduced to new faces — including the character she plays Ryan Phillippe.
Phillippe's role was announced before the end of April 2026, runner-up Rashad Raisani was teased after confirming her introduction to upcoming episodes of the hit ABC series.
According to the official description of the character, Phillippe will play a detective who is “a charming bad boy with a past.” He will lead the investigation of a “mysterious criminal who is tormenting Nashville according to the Bible.”
Raisani revealed that Phillippe's character may not have much history with anyone on 9-1-1: Nashville.
“There might be a moment where he realizes that he and Blythe [Jessica Capshaw] “He may have crossed paths at some point, but he doesn't have a deep history,” said Raisani TV Insider. “He's going to be playing this kind of detective who comes in and is a different kind of troublemaker, and he's going to go into Don's house.
