Off campus has already been renewed for season 2 – but not all the characters are returning for the show.
Based on the book series by Elle KennedyThe show, which premiered in May 2026, follows an elite ice hockey team — and the women in their lives — as they “struggle with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery — forming deep friendships and lasting bonds while navigating the challenges that come with transitioning into adulthood,” read the official synopsis.
Season 1 focuses on the “charming and exciting rivalry between the quiet songwriter, Hannah, and the legendary Briar University hockey player, Garrett.” (In addition to Ela Bright again Belmont Camel, the show introduces the characters they play with Mika Abdalla, Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Josh Heuston again Stephen Kalyn so.)
Since each season is based on a different love story in the Briar U universe, it's probably no surprise that not all characters will be prominently featured in each season. Creator Louisa Levy has confirmed the absence of a season 2 single but keep scrolling for the full details on who's coming back – and who isn't:
Ela Bright
Bright confirmed that Us that the plan is for them to “hold on” before Cameli added, “We're excited to see what season 2 has in store [us].”
Belmont Camel
“I completely understand your concern,” Cameli told us exclusively about each season of the Prime Video show focusing on a different fictional couple. “We'll be going all the time.”
Mika Abdalla
If not season 2, Abdalla's character Allie will lead season 3.
Stephen Thomas Kalyn
Kalyn's character Dean will take center stage next time around – and she'll be featured more often as a result.
With his book in the mix, Brooks returns as Tucker in future seasons of the new Prime Video show.
Antonio Cipriano
Cipriano's character Logan is expected to take center stage in season 2 – or season 3.
Josh Heuston
Levy confirmed in May 2026 that Justin would not appear in season 2, telling TV Guide, “Not next season, but I love Josh and I won't fire him if I can find a way to bring Justin back at some point.”
He continued: “We never got the chance to meet Stella, who is the person he ended up with in the book.
Levy noted that it wasn't always the plan for Justin to be absent. “We don't have him [available] next season, but never say never,” he added.
Steve Howey
Although Garrett will still be featured on the show, it is unclear if Howey will be involved.
India Fowler
Logan's love interest, Grace, was cast in anticipation of the season 2 introduction.
