Undoubtedly the hottest movie of the summer – Christopher Nolan's The Odysseyepic adaptation of Homer's Greek poem about Odysseus' long journey home after the Trojan War.
A movie, with stars Matt Damon like a world-weary warrior, Anne Hathaway like his long-suffering wife Penelope and Tom Holland as their son Telemachus, is already playing in the theaters, and will be one of the greatest boxers of the year.
The main reason why audiences want to see it the way Nolan intended it to be seen – on the biggest screen, IMAX, in the best format, 70mm. But not all theaters can show a popular movie in this format.

Why You Should See 'The Odyssey' in 70mm IMAX?

Christopher Nolan pre-recorded sequence of The Dark Knight with Heath Ledger again Oppenheimer in IMAX, but the technology wasn't there yet for a full feature to be shot in that format. Now that it's here, Nolan is the first to do it, and he's chosen the perfect story to do justice to the famous canvas.
Does 'Odyssey' Have a Vision?
Yes! As of Friday, July 17, The Odyssey it has a critics score of 96 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. That's unheard of in any movie, let alone a blockbuster with a reported budget of $250 million. In context, Nolan's previous film, the Oscar-winning biopic Oppenheimerscored 93% from 509 reviews.
Despite these critics' points, The Odyssey is making superhero films on a scale rarely seen today. If most of the characters don't wear spandex and fight aliens or witches, studios won't finance them. But Nolan is one of those rare directors who can sell a movie on his name alone, and luckily for audiences, he's also a talented filmmaker who can deliver an emotional story while still delivering action. Look at it.
