West Wilson wants to set the record straight on rumors that he and Amanda Batula they were running away from the country Summer House the season 10 reunion and their recent trip to Italy.
“You saw that everybody said that, because I went to the wedding in Italy with Amanda, everybody's like, 'They're fleeing the country,'” West, 31, joked during the Friday, June 5, episode of his “Show Me Something” podcast.
The Bravo star clarified that people “obviously” said that before they knew he and Amanda were getting married.
“Whoever photographed us in the baggage claim line at the airport in Rome, I know exactly what she looks like. A blonde woman,” West continued. “It's like we're standing with a backpack.
He added, “My cousin got married, so I left.”
Instagram gossip account DeuxMoi shared a photo of West and Amanda at the airport on May 26 along with a second message saying the couple was spotted at a restaurant in Rome.
West continued to address rumors about the trip on Friday after eagle-eyed fans appeared to notice that Amanda took out her credit card to pay for some of their meals in Italy.
“That's crazy, watching him use his credit card?” West said. “I handled flights and hotels, motherf***ers. What's that noise?”
He added, “I grew up in a house where my family divided the debts.”
West and Amanda's Italy trip came as Summer House season 10 reunion premiered on May 26. The two found themselves in the hot seat for much of the reunion after details about their relationship were revealed.

West and Amanda released a joint statement on March 31 confirming that they are dating. Amanda was previously married to her partner Summer Housesin costar Kyle Cookewhile West is dating his best friend Ciara Miller in 2023.
While they are officially back in America, photos and videos from the West and Amanda's recent trip abroad have continued to circulate.
DeuxMoi posted another photo on Friday showing West and Amanda dining in Sicily, Italy. One photo showed Amanda spitting into West's open mouth. He backed away quickly.
Fans had many thoughts about West's romance with Amanda, but the actor Jerry O'Connell — a huge Bravo fan — shared a different take last month.
“I'm about to be kicked out,” she wrote in the comments section of the airport photo. “What if these kids make it? Also, I want to go to a viewing party in LA, so we can meet. Anyone have any info? I'll also go to someone's/knows house with the White Claws.”
