Mayor of New York City Zohran Mamdani fueled speculation that the wedding celebrations will take place somewhere in the city during a press conference on Monday, June 15. Mamdani, 34, talked a lot about the World Cup and Swift's upcoming weddings while talking about security.
“I have full confidence in the work of the NYPD, and our state partners, in delivering that safe experience,” he told reporters. “We are a big city in this country, we are used to big events, and we are incredibly happy [World Cup].”
