The X-Files Episode That Killed the Super Hero Before the Opening Credits

The third season of X files is one of the strongest shows, and it was in this season that Ryan Reynolds made his TV debut. The future Deadpool and Wolverine the star appears in the cold scene of “Syzygy,” and before the opening credits his body hangs on a cliff. His killers are sitting on the grass above him, laughing and plucking flower petals.
The Death of the Boom

Fair enough, considering Reynolds will continue to portray the Merc verbally, “Syzygy” is one of the funniest episodes of X files. It opens with Reynolds, who plays a young jock nicknamed Boom, giving a pep talk about his murdered friend, insisting that he and his friends need to “kick some butt” as his dead friend is “in Heaven right now.”
The real killers, teenage girls Terri and Margi, ask Boom for a ride home. On the way, they talk about how they heard that the satanic sect wants to sacrifice virgins. Without any subtlety, they suggest that if they were no longer virgins, they would not have to worry.
Boom pulls his car off the road. The next thing we see, “he sits on his own.”
Real Killers

Despite what everyone in the small town of New Hampshire believes, there is no death of Boom or any other unusual events happening in the area. X-Files the episode is associated with Satan. Instead, the strange planetary alignment causes people to do strange things, and in the case of Terri and Margi, who were born on the same day and at the same time, it gives them telekinetic powers while filling them with a desire to kill.
But Boom's death helps put an end to Satan's fears, not only because of his death, but also because his coffin mysteriously caught fire during his memorial service.
Lisa Robin Kelly

Ryan Reynolds is not the only actor X files' “Syzygy” would later delight many celebrities with a signature role, but another star will unfortunately meet a tragic end.
One of the two psychic killers of “Syzygy,” Terri, is played by Lisa Robin Kelly. After two years X-Files episode aired, Kelly first appeared in the second episode of That '70s Show as Laurie Forman, Eric's older sister to Topher Grace.
Kelly struggled with substance abuse for most of his adult life, and was eventually rehabbed That '70s Show by Christina Moore.
In 2013, at the age of 43, Kelly overdosed on drugs and died in her sleep.
Mulder vs. Scully

One of the funniest parts of “Syzygy” is the very different chemistry between them X files Mulder and Scully. The planetary arrangement affects them and everyone else, and at first this shows nothing but a little more impatience on Scully's part, and Mulder getting more romantic than usual with the local detective.
It finally comes to Mulder getting drunk alone in his hotel room while Scully smokes a chain.
Things end up getting very disrespectful between the two. When an angry Scully complains that Mulder won't let her drive, Mulder replies, “I wasn't sure your little feet could reach the pedals.”
The authors apparently used online petitions X-Files fans made the show write the barbs Mulder and Scully torment each other in “Syzygy.” The “your little feet” joke came from one fan's idea as to why Scully never drove, and Gillian Anderson apparently found it very amusing.
