Lately, Marvel fans are feeling something they haven't felt in a long time: hope. It's been a decade or so since the MCU movies went from being boring (Forever) surprise (Quantumania) to, shockingly, useless (Miracles). During that time, Marvel TV gave us shows ranging from unusual (Moon Knight) paradoxically (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law) too bad (Secret Invasion). As time went on, even the biggest fans of the franchise began to wonder if there was anything we could get it is possible match the glory days of Marvel.

However, late last year, the studio started releasing teaser trailers Avengers: Doomsday, which (thanks in particular to the trailer featuring Professor X, Magneto, and Cyclops) reignited the Marvel hype of many fans. This year, Daredevil: Born Again matched the quality of its first season, and the first trailers made that clear Spider-Man: A New Day it will be the biggest hit of the summer. With Avengers: Doomsday will be released on December 18, fans have a lot of great stuff coming out later this year. But can you believe that in just two weeks, there will be a Marvel TV show with a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score?

That's the show X-Men '97Season 2, coming to Disney+ on July 1.

The Complete Season of Superhero Television

X-Men '97 Season 2 focuses on the fight against Apocalypse, a villain who believes in nothing but survival of the fittest. In his world, perfection is achieved by killing the weak. While things slow down in the real world, X-Men '97 it still achieves perfection in itself. On the movie review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, Season 2 currently has a critical score of 100 percent. This is good news for fans wondering if the second season of the show will be as good as the epic Season 1.

Based on critics' reviews, it sounds like it X-Men '97 it will be better than we hoped. In accordance with Empire Magazineby Amon Warmann,”X-Men '97'The second season continues to build on the rich history of the revolution' in new, exciting and unexpected ways. Waiting years for its return was worth it.” A polygonJake Kleinman agrees, writing that this season is “as good, if not better, than anything I've seen before.” In addition, IGN Movies' Jesse Schedeen said, “The series continues to be a love letter to an era of the X-Men franchise and a source of deep, exciting drama that appeals to Marvel fans of all stripes.”

There's One Big “But”

Now, there is a big one but here, and I'm not talking about the one in Rogue. X-Men '97 Season 2 currently has perfect ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, but critics have only seen the first four episodes. Additionally, the show is universally loved on Rotten Tomatoes, but there are (as of this writing) only 17 reviews. Is it possible that the show will suffer the arrival, or that some reviewers will not like the series and reduce its effect? Of course. But based on the show's strong start and the high praise of these early reviewers, it seems likely X-Men '97's second season will be another year.

Like the Age of Apocalypse? Nah. They have to save it for Season 3!
