Personally, I went through the entire series a few months ago with a friend, and we were shocked to see a 50/50 split in jokes that would resonate well with today's Gen Z audience and jokes that went over our heads because we would have been kids when these pop culture references were born.

The show has a lot of heart, a lot of cute moments, and a main character that is equal parts incredibly charming and unbearably annoying.

In my opinion, The babysitter it's still as active today, thanks to the real-life works of Fran Drescher. For those of you who don't know, the former sitcom legend took over as SAG-AFTRA President back in 2021, and was instrumental in negotiating the terms and conditions of the union's new deal with the major studios during the 2023 long strike.
Today, Fran Drescher is a Hollywood icon, in part for her role as a union leader, and because of her instantly recognizable series, which has become a comfort zone for millions of viewers around the world.
