Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse he's not sure Swift and Kelce, both 36 years old, will be beaten in their hometown of New England. “I don't know about that,” Whitehouse, 70, said TMZ DC on Tuesday, June 2, when he was asked about the rumors that the couple is planning to tie the knot later this month at the singer's place.
“I think he gave Rhode Island a pass,” Whitehouse said. “But I hope so, I'd like to have him in Rhode Island.”
Whitehouse's comments come just weeks before Swift and Kelce's wedding, which will reportedly take place in Rhode Island on June 13. (The number 13 has always been lucky for Swift.)

Swift and Kelce, who are engaged to be married in August 2025, are likely to split their wedding celebrations between Grammy's $18 million mansion in Rhode Island and the Ocean House, a five-star beachfront resort.
“The list of guests grew, so did the ceremony and private gatherings associated with the wedding [will be split between the venues],” said a second insider, noting in April that Swift may have other places on her mind.
A source teased, “Taylor always has a plan B and C for every situation,” the first insider told. Us that Rhode Island is a good place. “They feel confident holding it there. The whole place will be very secretive and guarded.”
Although Swift and Kelce are tight-lipped about their upcoming celebration, celebrities have been saying whether or not they have received an invitation to the wedding.
