Survivor Fans Furious Over Trump's Speech Disrupting Episode

“As we celebrate this progress, we think especially of the 13 American heroes who put their lives on the line in this fight to prevent our children from having to face a nuclear Iran again,” Trump said. “Twice in the last month, I went to Dover Air Force Base, and it was something, I wanted to be with those heroes as they returned to the American soil. I was with their families, their parents, their wives, their husbands.”
The president continued, “We salute them. And now we have to honor them for finishing the job they gave their lives for. And everybody, their loved ones are saying, 'Please, sir, please finish the job,' everybody, and we're going to finish the job and we're going to finish it very quickly. We're getting very close.”
White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt first announced on Tuesday that Trump planned to address the nation at prime time.
“BACK: Tomorrow night at 9 pm ET, President Trump will address the nation to provide an important update on Iran,” Leavitt, 28, tweeted at the time.
The survivors airs on CBS Wednesdays at 8 pm ET.
