Sullivan's Crossing Is the weather coming out of most of the cast ahead of season 5 – but where did all the characters end up during the transition?
Season 4 featured Maggie (Morgan Cohen) and Cal (Chad Michael Murray) faces many obstacles after the return of her husband, Liam (Marcus Rosner). Despite breaking up for a while, Maggie and Cal ended up on good terms – and he even proposed.
Things became difficult again even though the social worker brought Tracy and revealed that her foster parents could no longer care for her. Cal and Maggie are now faced with the prospect of taking care of Tracy.
Based on the book series by Robyn Carr, Sullivan's Crossing follows surgeon Maggie as she returns to her hometown in rural Nova Scotia. He finds himself reunited with his estranged father, Sully (Scott Patterson), newcomer Cal and many members of the community.
Sullivan's Crossing was previously renewed for a fifth season, which is expected to premiere in 2027 on CTV. After airing in Canada, the hit show will follow episodes on The CW and then Netflix in the summer when the show wraps up on cable.
Before the start of season 4, Us Weekly released the news in March 2026 that Patterson would not be reprising his role.
“Sullivan's Crossing Season 3 ended with Sully going to Ireland, starting a new chapter in his life. Season 4 will pick up the next day, with Sully overseas,” Roth shared. Patterson later revealed what led to her dramatic departure, writing on Instagram, “The creative differences were unacceptable and I realized sadly that the show was not something I could agree to continue.
Patterson later clarified that it was not always his idea to leave Sullivan's Crossing.
“It is unfortunate that it is now being said that they are from me/Sully when the truth is completely the opposite, and those who have spoken sadly are also well aware of this fact, but still choose to say otherwise,” he continued. “I didn't mean to make a statement but the fans of the books and the game deserve to know the truth as I have always respected those who support the industry by watching and loving these characters. We are very lucky and blessed to play them and live.”
