Rod Stewart Cancels Las Vegas Show On 'Doctor's Advice'

“Following the advice of his doctor, Rod Stewart regretfully canceled his performance at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on May 29 and 30, but is scheduled to return with shows starting on June 2,” Stewart's representative, 81, told local media. Las Vegas Review in a statement on Friday, May 29.

Stewart was scheduled to perform at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30. The company noted that Stewart's withdrawal was due in part to a sinus infection.

“I apologize to my family of fans,” read a separate statement from Stewart. “I'm resting as I recover from a sinus infection. I look forward to seeing you at a future show at Caesars Palace or on tour this summer.”

Ticketmaster also issued a message to fans, reportedly sharing that refunds are being offered to those who had tickets for the canceled games.

“Unfortunately, the event organizer has had to cancel your event,” the statement read.

The shows were part of Stewart's The Encore Shows during his Las Vegas residency. The series of concerts is scheduled to run from May 27 to June 6, and again from August 18 to 29.

In 2024, Stewart shared that he would complete the “big world tour” but had “no desire to retire.”

“I love what I do and I do what I love,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “I'm fit, have a full head of hair, and can run 100 meters in 18 seconds at the delightful age of 79. I'd love to go on the Great American Songbook, Swing Fever tour next year – smaller venues and more intimacy. But again, I can't.”

The following year, Stewart announced on his Instagram Last Last Last shows from March in Connecticut to August in Kansas City, Missouri.

“FINALLY! 🎶 ,” he wrote at the time. “You won't want to miss these shows, tickets go on sale Friday, Nov 14 at 10am local time 🎸✨ See you there!!”

That same year, he made headlines when he postponed his Las Vegas residency hours before the show began.

“I'm sorry to inform you that I'm not feeling well and my show tonight at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace is postponed to June 10,” he wrote on his Instagram Story at the time. “Your tickets will be valid on the new date.”
