Robert Carradine's Daughter Later Pays Tribute on Father's Day

Robert Carradinedaughter of Ever Carradine honors the late actor on Father's Day posthumously.

“Happy Father's Day to two goats,” Ever, 51, wrote on Instagram on Sunday, June 21. “Love you @cobybrownmusic ❤️ Miss you, Dad.”

Alongside the message, Ever shared a photo of the husband Coby Brown and his father. Ever also paid tribute to her husband with a series of photos shared on her Instagram Story on Sunday with the couple's family.

“Happy Father's Day @cobybrownmusic. We love you so much. Thanks for being so sweet,” he wrote, before uploading a separate photo of Robert laughing on a bench with the kids. “I miss you, Dad.”

In February, news broke that Robert had died at the age of 71 after a decades-long battle with dementia. I Lizzie McGuire alum is survived by his three children, Ever, Ian Carradine and Marcia Carradine. (Robert shares children Ian and Marcia with ex-wife Edie Manimarried to him from 1990 to 2018. Ever shared with him Susan Snyder.)

“It is with great sadness that we have to share that our beloved father, grandfather, uncle and brother Robert Carradine has passed away,” his family told Deadline in a statement at the time. “In a world that felt so dark, Bobby always shone a light on everyone around him. We are saddened by the loss of this beautiful soul and want to thank Bobby for his heroic struggle against his nearly decade-long battle with bipolar.”

The statement continued, “We hope his journey can shed light and inspire to address the stigma associated with mental illness. We are currently asking for privacy to grieve this immeasurable loss. Thank you for your understanding and compassion.”

Days later, the Los Angeles Deputy Medical Examiner ruled Robert's manner of death a suicide, according to documents obtained Us Weekly. The medical examiner noted that the cause was “sequential anoxic brain injury,” which occurs when the brain does not receive enough oxygen. A death certificate obtained by TMZ shared that Robert was cremated and his ashes scattered at sea.

A report from the medical examiner, received by Us Earlier this month, she revealed that Robert had checked himself into a mental hospital in Los Angeles before his death. Documents revealed that a worker found him unresponsive and in cardiac arrest one day. Attempts were made to revive him, but Robert died weeks later.
