Mindy Kaling's Not Fit for Work Reveals Virginity

Mindy Kaling's Not Worth the Job made a dramatic start to its first three-part play, which ended with the maidens turning out.

On Hulu's new show, AJ (Ela Hunt) moves to New York City to start a new job and meets her friend Abby (Avantika). Things get complicated when one of their neighbors – Josh (Jack Martin) — it turns out that it was AJ who was connected to him who blew him away.

Even worse is the revelation that it was the first time AJ slept with Josh. At the end of episode three, which premiered on Tuesday, June 2, Josh revealed that he was also a virgin when he slept with AJ. It was his careless response that eventually led to him running away in his sleep.

Unfit Career Centers for five busy workaholic friends who try to juggle the ranks of their careers while finding happiness in their love lives – all while living in the same apartment building in Manhattan. In addition to Hunt, Avantika and Martin, the show also stars Will Angus, Nicholas Duvernay again Jay Ellis.

Before the start of the show, Duvernay, 26, spoke to her Us about getting the chance to work with Kaling, who created the series.

“Knowing [Mindy] you believe in us [when] you look at everything he's done and everything he's stood for, you can't help but believe that he sees something in you,” Duvernay, who plays Kel, shared in May.

The nine-episode comedy completes a trilogy of projects based on Kaling's life, with Netflix's. I have never been take inspiration from young Kaling and HBO Max's Sex Lives of College Girls from his college years.

It's Not For Work and prides itself on its fun – and surprising – cameos. In the first show, Gigi Hadid made a memorable appearance as a fictional model dating Ellis' character.

“They didn't tell me in advance that Gigi was going to play [Jay’s onscreen love interest],” Hunt, 28, shared Us. “When Gigi came in, I saw her from a distance. I saw this brown woman in a beautiful coat and I went up to her. She finally sent me the coat – which was an amazing gift – but she hit that scene where she threw the Birkin bag at me.”

As we look ahead to the rest of the season, Avantika, 21, teased how the show will continue to draw on the reality experience – especially when it comes to on-screen romance.

“It's a lot like being in your 20s in this generation to say, 'I have to explore all the options in the room and I can't settle down with someone,'” she shared. “It is this fear of doing or pretending that it should be the end of everything.”

Not Worth the Job airs Tuesdays on Hulu.
