Millie Bobby Brown considers the most difficult aspect of discovery.
Sharing her motherhood experience on the Thursday, June 11, episode of Kylie KelceThe “I Won't Lie” podcast, i Stranger Things The actress, 22, admitted that some parts of the process can be more difficult than others.
“Every trip is different. Waiting for the call is the hardest thing,” Brown said.
Sharing her advice to others on the same journey, Brown added, “I can always encourage you to understand that every journey is different. Don't compare yourself to others, don't compare yourself to statistics, don't compare yourself to other families, but your child is out there, and you will find each other.”
Brown and her husband Jake Bongioviwho tied the knot in May 2024, announced the arrival of their adopted baby girl last year.
“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” Brown and Bongiovi wrote in a joint Instagram statement in August 2025. “We are so excited to begin this wonderful next chapter of parenthood both quietly and privately. Then there are 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”

“I was like, 'This is cruel, cruel,' and I don't have time for angry women who just need to bring you down, especially when it comes to motherhood,” Brown said on the podcast. “I've never had to deal with anything like this, it's like, I'm always going to be like, 'Oh, my God, you showed your nipples? I'm like, 'Whatever.' I don't care about that, but when you say, 'You didn't put a hat on your child?' I say, 'Try to put a hat on my child. I promise you [to] put him in a bay.'
Brown continued, “Stay in your line, put a hat on your child and put a sock in his mouth, sorry my English is coming out, but it's true, I said, shut up.”

“My mom had her first child when she was 21, and my dad was 19,” she said in an episode of the “Smartless” podcast in March 2025. “And you know, it's been my thing since before I met Jake. Ever since I was a kid, I told my mom, like baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like my mom was to me.”
Brown added that Bongiovi knew “how important” it was that she not wait too long to have a baby.
“I want to focus on really strengthening myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also think it's important to start a family myself,” he said at the time. “It's a big deal. Jake was like, we're not going to do that until we're married. So that was his thing.”
