Marvel Icon Punished For Having A Huge Bump

By Chris Snellgrove | Published

You have played Marvel Rivals? If you can get over the fact that it's basically a reskinned version of Overwatchvery sweet. This is a superhero shooter where you control a character from the vast universe of Marvel. There are a variety of team-based multiplayer modes; this variety, along with the fact that the game is free to play, keeps players coming back for more. However, how do developers make money? It's simple: they charge players for “skins” that completely change the character's appearance. Many of the skins are made from famous costumes from the comics, while others are modeled after the designs of characters in the MCU.

Whatever their original inspiration, all these skins have one thing in common: they are way they are worse than you would expect them to be. There are tons of revealing outfits that go well with dry character designs that players can't stop drooling over. Unfortunately, players recently found out that the game was a bit slow with the latest summer skin for Captain America. You see, the skin makes Cap explode very large that it ruined some of his in-game graphics. This caused a Chinese developer to do the unthinkable: they shriveled Captain America's penis, and waited until the Fourth of July to do it!

Battle of the Bulges

Every year, Marvel Rivals developer NetEase Games releases a quick summer swimsuit for a variety of characters. This may seem like a cheap way to appeal to nerdy gamers, but it's arguably a throwback to the '90s, when Marvel equally appealed to comic book nerds with dry-swimming specials. Captain America got particularly embarrassing skin this summer, which was short shorts and a skimpy tank top that showed off his hairy, muscular chest. Normally, fans would be drooling over Cap's thick legs and arms, but this skin made them focus on something else: big funny bump character's penis.

Apparently, this object moved with its own physics. While fans were excited and nervous (scaredif you will), some wondered if Captain America having such a large package was dangerous. Like, maybe the character model was modified in such a way that her pelvis was extending outwards, giving the appearance of a very large bump. Either way, it turned out to be a real mistake. In the game, Cap has an emote that echoes being filmed in Spider-Man: Homecoming when he pulls a chair and sits on it. Previously, players who activated the emote with the summer skin encountered a bug: A large unit of Cap, falling on a chair!

Now, without making any kind of official announcement, NetEase Games seems to have fixed the problem. Although Captain America still has an impressive bulge, it's not as big as it used to be. In addition, it no longer breaks from the chair when players use the aforementioned emote. All's well that ends well, right? Kind of. Although the timing may be coincidental, many gamers couldn't help but notice how a Chinese engineer waited until Independence Day to cut Captain America's weiner down to size. Do you think this will be the case slow down a resurrected Cap, though? As the man says: he can do this all day!
