“I can confirm [Cal] he's alive, but that doesn't mean he's unharmed,” Marshall-Green told the newspaper in an article published after Sunday's episode. I'm hours away from shooting [season 2, episode 1]. I can tell you that we all go through things – without giving anything away.”
Kebbel weighed in again, saying, “I'm part of season 2, yes. We're starting to film [season 2] by taking that [finale] a minute. My head is already in season 2.”
The actress recalled her first reaction to the final text.
“After reading that big rock, I had to wonder if Belle was going to survive! “And even though both Belle and Cal were there, at the time it felt like, because Cal was in front, he was the one in the most danger.

Looking ahead, Marshall-Green made it clear that she has no plans to leave the show, adding, “I love the job! I love the steady paycheck, and I love more than anything else this team and the cast. I could easily see myself doing this show for many years.”
He went on to say: “Now where is the most interesting story now that we are dealing with a story like cancer?
Marshall-Green was optimistic about the show's creative team.
“And maybe there's a way, with medical advances, to have both worlds. But really, in the end, it's about what stories are left to be told,” he continued. “That is in your hands Yana Grebenyuk Spencer [Hudnut] and writers, and again Luke [Grimes]. Luke has been playing this role for a long time. But I think I can speak for everyone when I say we love coming to work, and, boy, do we come to work. The first season was a difficult shoot.”
Kebbel has continued to thank for success so far.
“When people watch a show like Marshalls, I'm not sure if they think about the art and the sacrifices, but there's a lot of sacrifice that goes into it,” he said. “So I'm very thankful that we're building momentum and we have an audience, and I'm very thankful that we have a lot of staff coming back from season 1 to season 2 so we'll all be able to go, 'We're in this together.'
