Jenny's 90 Day Daughter Shares a Review on Sumit's Visa

Jenny SlattenChristina's daughter gives fans an update on her stepfather Sumit SinghFiance star's 90-day ALS battle visa application process.
“I wanted to inform you that we have started the visa process for Sumit to come to the US [and] to bring my mother to come here for more treatment using her insurance,” Christina said in an Instagram video uploaded on Wednesday, July 22. “Because the doctors told her she can't travel alone because it's a long flight.”
Earlier this year, Jenny revealed that she was diagnosed with ALS after experiencing symptoms for over a year. Since his diagnosis in May, Sumit has become Jenny's “full-time caregiver” in addition to being her husband.
Christina added that they decided to have Sumit apply for an “emergency visitor visa” instead of the green card that was granted to his mother.
“We applied for an emergency tourist visa, not a green card. Only a tourist visa. It's a very long process to try to get a green card, especially right now,” he said, referring to the current United States immigration process. “They don't make it easy for anyone. So we go the tourist route.”
Christina explained that she spoke to her senator's office who told her that the visa process “could take some time” if Sumit was allowed to proceed.
“So we have started it and we are waiting for the Indian ambassador to give Sumit his appointment,” he said. “So far we are still waiting for the appointment and there is no news as to when that will happen.”
Christina also shared that her mother's doctor gave her a note “saying what she is suffering from and that she will not be able to travel alone from here to return to the United States.”
“We are working on it and we will try our best to get Sumit here with mom. So stay tuned,” she said.
As Sumit waits to hear from the appeal, Christina asked fans for their “positive” thoughts as they await next steps.
“Please keep this process in your prayers. Spread it around,” he shared. “Send a good juju, there is no guarantee that you will be approved. But we did everything we asked.”
Fans were introduced to Jenny and Sumit when they first appeared 90 Day Boyfriend: Another Way in 2019. The couple is currently living in India and acting in the new season of Day 90: The Last Resortwhich premiered on TLC in June.
