Inside Kirsten Storms Custody Battle With Ex Brandon Barash

Kirsten Storms again Brandon Barash They are charged with custody of their daughter Harper Rose.
Sphepho and Barash fell in love while working together General Hospital. They tied the knot in 2013 and welcomed Harper Rose the following year. Their romance ended in 2016 when Barash announced that he and Storms had called it quits.
“We're splitting up because of irreconcilable differences, but we're splitting amicably,” Barash told Soap Opera Digest in April 2016. “We have a strong intention to stay a family through this and to raise our child and maintain friendships in an effort to raise him in a healthy environment.”
Early on, Storms and Barash put a united front on Harper Rose. Exes from California to Tennessee in 2025.
However, things seem to have deteriorated following this move. News broke in April 2026 that Barash had filed for an emergency restraining order against the Storms. According to court documents obtained by Us WeeklyBarash also filed to be retained by Harper Rose in December 2025. The filing stated that Barash wishes to change his original contract with Storms due to a number of issues since their move to another country.

Barash said the Storms are “stable” with their housing situation. According to the documents, Storms allegedly left the apartment claiming there was a gas leak and went to stay with friends or hotels. Barash alleges that Storms often moved hotels because he “believed that people were following him and the child to his room.”
The actor also said that Storms received an eviction notice from his current landlord for failing to pay rent.

Aside from the housing situation, Barash accused Storms of not making her car payments and not paying for their daughter's braces. Barash also said that Storms asked to borrow money from him for various reasons, including buying food for Harper Rose. Storms allegedly owes Barash $5,000, according to the documents. According to the filing, Barash is “deeply concerned” about Storms' ability to care for Harper Rose amid her financial struggles.

Barasho said Harper Rose was late to school “19 times” and had 13 unexcused absences while under Storms' care.
“The mother is often not able to take care of the child on time, she picks him up late, she cannot take him to school, and she is often not reliable day by day to make sure that the child is where he should be on time,” read the doctors.

In the docket, Barash recounts an alleged incident in May 2025 where Storms told him he was “experiencing delusions and hallucinations.” The following month, Barash said that Storms was “mentally disturbed” and allegedly was hospitalized and “put into a psychiatric facility.”
Barash said one of Storms' friends confided in him that the actor was abusing Adderall and other possible drugs.

After his April 2026 court filing, TMZ confirmed that Barash was granted a restraining order.

Two months later, Storms addressed the game for the first time.
“I'm sure some of you have read stories online about a situation involving something my ex-husband is trying to claim right now,” Storms wrote in an Instagram post in June 2026. “Because I saw one story online telling me to report a burglary AFTER he filed something against me in court, I really need to address this issue.”
Storms previously shared that his apartment building in Tennessee was broken into late last year. In his latest statement he said the burglary was “reported to the building and Franklin PD” before Barash made any complaints to the court.
“You can see from what I wrote earlier that the damage to the lock on the door of my house was extensive and obvious,” he wrote. “I took that photo in August of last year – months before Brandon filed anything in court.”
Storms wrote that the apparent burglary was “hard to accept” because it happened when he moved to Tennessee.
“I haven't been on the internet much because of the way things have turned out to be something they shouldn't have been,” he concluded. “This has been a very serious thing for me.”
