Anna Faris Admittedly, she felt emotional after breaking up with her ex-husband, Chris Pratt.
“I was sad,” recalls Faris, 49, about his divorce at the time Variety profile published Saturday, June 13. “I feel like I've had enough, important, and I've tried to be aware of how much Hollywood comes in, but now I've had a series of fame for 26 years, so I wouldn't be naive to think that it hasn't shaped who I am right now. But, it's amazing.”
Faris and Pratt, 46, were married from 2009 to 2018, and welcomed their 13-year-old son, Jack, in 2012. After the two actors parted ways, Faris found solace in her work.
“I'm lucky that I had mine at that time [“Anna Faris Is Unqualified”] podcast,” he said scary Movie the actress remembered Variety. “I wanted, like, four people to listen and build my own secret society. I wanted an outlet outside of Hollywood as a way to connect with people.”
Faris started his eponymous podcast in 2015 out of “curiosity” and a “desire to connect” with guests, website definition.
“I used to do this thing on ski lifts where, if I was on a ski lift with a stranger, I'd say, 'Do you want to have a really intense 10-minute conversation? And you can answer any question you want to answer,'” Faris said. Variety. “I would ask them questions like, 'When did you start dating?' I have always wanted to connect with people. I didn't reveal much on the podcast, but I always felt like I could if I needed to.”

“It made me think, 'I know I'd be happy if I wrote because I've always loved it, and maybe that's a way to make money,'” the actor told the media. “I was thinking about some kind of retirement, but now, I feel there are more opportunities than ever!
