General Hospital: Lulu & Cassius Spark Twisted Romance – New Faison & Anna?

General Hospital gives Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) telling his sister Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) that he is dating Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening). And it's a red flag, I think, when Cassius says he won't lose her.

He is determined to keep his true identity a secret and wants to continue pretending to be Nathan so he can stick with Lulu. But is it the love that Cassius feels for Lulu or is it infatuation like we have seen with other members of the Faison family in the past?

We'll talk about how Cassius can be fixed on Lulu the way Faison was fixed on Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), and we'll touch on some of the fixed Faisons we've seen. General Hospital.

Cassius Says He's Dating Lulu at General Hospital

Okay, lately Britt has been arguing with Cassius trying to convince him to end things with Lulu, but Cassius seems pretty sure he's in love with Lulu. But Britt, I'm sure, doesn't believe Cassius truly loves Lulu or even knows it. But the important thing is that he has convinced himself, if not his sister.

Cassius seems to care about his son Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) and his nephew James West (Gary James Fuller). But infatuation can look like love until it gets out of hand. Also, there is a good chance that Cassius may be like his father, like his mother, and his bad brother. He may not realize it yet, but Cassius may be fixated on Lulu and it may not be healthy at any moment.

Cassius is Faison's child after all, and it seems that extreme love runs in their family. If you're a longtime GH watcher, you might remember how Anna was tormented by Faison in the old days and her twisted obsession with him that lasted for decades, until her death. He was deeply impressed by Anna.

He does everything possible to try to win her heart, win her body and soul. But if you remember, she was in love with Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) back in the day when their lot was going on. You know, he was the biggest love of Anna's life, I think, besides Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). Yes, I know she and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) had something, but her and Duke, I mean, come on.

Faison's Obsession with Anna on GH

So, Faison created a Duke mask so he could impersonate Anna's lover, hoping to approach her obscenely. Because, let's face it, Faison was crazy and crazy about Anna. And then, when she found out that it wasn't really Duke, but Faison wearing a Duke mask, Anna was horrified. Faison honestly made Anna feel bad for years. Because of his obsession with her he is still being abused now.

Meanwhile, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) use Faison's obsession with Anna to psychologically torture him and keep him locked up in this fragile mental state in that French clinic. They used Faison's fix to flash Anna into the full event so they would have the bandwidth to complete Faison's Cold Fusion project without her.

Liesl Obrecht and Britt Reunited in General Hospital

So, now let's talk about Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Although he is only a Faison by marriage, he is one who is being prepared. Liesl was obsessed with Cesar for many years and his love for Anna broke Obrecht's heart.

And since she's Cassius' mother, that means she inherited the self-anxiety gene from both sides. Twisted DNA from his mother and father. Same with Britt. In fact, although she is very different now, back in the day when she was fully britch, she was so obsessed with Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) that she stole Lulu's embryo to try and keep him.

Peter August's Obsession with Maxie on GH

And of course, who can forget Faison's other son, Peter August (Wes Ramsey,) whose obsession with Maxie Jones was twisted. Peter said he was in love with Maxie just as Cassius insisted he loved Lulu. And just as Cassius pretended to be someone he wasn't, remember that's what Peter did, too.

You know, he hid the fact that he was Faison's son and made sure that his father Faison died so that he wouldn't be against his life again. And who he really is was one of the many things that Peter hid from Maxie. Because he was obsessed with her. Peter was willing to do anything to have a life with Maxie and James and little Bailey Louise. Sound familiar?

General Hospital: Remarkable Similarities

Cassius behaves like Peter, but not as much as Faison and Anna do. At least for now. And hey, stick around until the end. I have a big update about Kirsten Storms for you guys. So, considering Peter and Cassius grew up around Faison, I suspect they're worse than Britt and worse than Nathan. Therefore, Cassius may be able to do the same things that Peter did General Hospital.

And remember when his lies first came out, that's when Peter went crazy. He kidnapped Maxie, took her to Port Charles, and made her give up Bailey Louise to basically be his. That was after Maxie finally realized how crazy Peter was.

Cassius Can Turn Obsessive on GH

And that's very similar to what Faison did with Anna. Because Faison kidnapped Anna and her daughter Robin Scorpio (Kinberly McCullough). And Faison had this twisted fantasy of having a life and making a family with Anna and Robin. So Peter's treatment of Maxie is very similar to Faison's treatment of Anna. And Cassius might be the same way.

He has already refused to give up Lulu even though he knows that she is in danger and danger. And I think part of it is that Cassius never felt loved or honestly ever loved. Because he grew up with Faison. He has been a keeper in training or a fan his whole life. He didn't have a normal childhood or a normal life.

But now that Cassius is imitating Nathan, you know, Cassius finally finds love and friendship for the first time in his life. Nathan was a really good Faison. So Cassius loves this life he stole from poor dead Nathan. And Cassius likes to be close to Lulu and James and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), everyone who knew and loved Nathan. So Cassius doesn't want to lose any of that, but especially not Lulu. So that's why he told Britt that he would stay with Nathan as long as possible. And while he says things that sound like their true love and romance with anyone in the Faison family, there's a thin line between love and fixing.

General Hospital: Cassius' Crazy Premiere

I expect Cassius to turn insane at any moment. And I think we'll really start to see his true self when Cassius thinks his secret might be revealed, and especially when he thinks he might lose Lulu. This is where I expect we will see the dark side of Cassius. And it can start soon. Because I suspect Sidwell might be quick to remind Cassius that he's not Nathan.
