General Hospital Fans, we have a brand new reward for you. This is wild and involves a fun wedding. The publisher has told us that the two people who will not be in this sweet wedding are Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
They will not marry each other. However, that leaves tons of other interesting options. In the past, there have been several marriages of convenience General Hospital. Usually, it's the last time people testify against each other, but there are other uses for it. Therefore, we will talk about who can be arrested to avoid legal or other types of problems.
Simple Marriage History in General Hospital
That's right. So, this leak came to us a few weeks ago, and I mentioned it when I went through one of our rumors, but we're going to talk about it in depth today. Because it's big. But first, I want to clarify, as I always do, that this is a leak/rumor. This is not an official spoiler, but our leaker has a really good track record, and I love stuff like this.
So, I will give them advice to have an 80% success rate. So, as a reminder, General Hospital he performed simple weddings several times in the past. Carly married Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) several times to avoid testifying against him. It's the same with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) many years ago. Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) married Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) while she was pregnant to avoid deportation. Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) got married back in the day as part of the scheme, but she was secretly with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) at the time.
I think it's been a while, my mind is a little confused on that. Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) begin a marriage based on blackmail and then fall in love. And now with several unsolved but emerging cases in Port Charles, we're about to get another one according to a leaker.
Portia And Isaiah May Get Married On GH
So, one couple to consider is Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson). Now they are in a relationship, but they are not in the marriage stage anymore. So, that would still be a marriage of convenience by definition. And if they were beaten, Portia could not be asked.
Because if she was his wife, she wouldn't have to answer anything about Isaiah's whereabouts the night Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) drove recklessly and caused his own accident. If you remember, Isaiah was going over to Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) to treat Rocco Falconeri's (Finn Carr) infection, and Portia didn't know which patient she was seeing.
But since Isaiah is questioned by Justine Turner (Nazneen's Contractor) this week, he and Portia can have a quick wedding so that he won't be questioned by the PCPD about Isaiah. And 100% Portia would do that to cover Isaiah. He doesn't care about gray areas. Moreover, it makes sense. Because Portia is serious about Isaiah and she's ready and willing to play stepfather to Curtis Ashford's (Donnell Turner) child. So, I think having both makes sense. I would enjoy it. Because the only one who has to face the consequences of this crash is Jordan.
Britt and Jason May Get Married on General Hospital
The second to watch when he returns in July, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Jason. That way Britt can't testify against him in court if the shooting is heard. He told the police that Jason shot Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). Because Jason said he didn't say.
But once he's back, if he's officially charged by the PCPD, even though Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) knows better, you know, he might tell him, “Look, I'll just go down to protect Rocco.” Marrying Jason will mean Britt can avoid testifying. And we know Jason and Britt both want to protect Rocco.
So, if Britt is caught on Jason, that would weaken the evidence. Britt couldn't be put on the stand. Jason would agree to a fifth to incriminate himself, and there are no other witnesses and not a ton of evidence. So, I think Britt's choice to marry Jason to avoid testifying seems reasonable, but it may be a long shot.
And that's based on some backstory saying that when he left, Steve Burton wasn't happy with his storyline. So, once he's back, Jason might not stay with Britt for long after he returns to Port Charles. We will see. Jason and Britt confess their love just before he is taken to the WSB cell. They have feelings for each other for a long time. So, as it is, they are visible, but when they revolve around the story and Britt is not with Jason, it seems very little.
GH Shocker: Nina And Jack Brennan May Be Married
Also, based on the story of Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) injecting Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) with Drew Cain's (Cameron Mathison) drug, I think she would fit in with a marriage of convenience. Assuming Jack survives his “beating”, there will be questions that neither Nina nor Jack want to answer.
So, if Nina and Jack tie the knot, Nina won't have to testify about what happened at Drew Cain's (Cameron Mathison) and Willow Tait's (Katelyn MacMullen) house. And Jack wouldn't have to answer questions about what happened there either. Because he probably doesn't want it to come out. Nina was actually targeting Valentin trying to protect Jack and protect Willow. Um, you'd never think that Jack would want to marry Nina at all.
However, Jack might agree. Because Nina might threaten him by cheating on both him and Willow. And, don't forget, Jack is pretty salty about Carly and Valentin cheating. And of course, Carly would be furious if she wakes up and marries Nina, whom she hates. So, that might be the reason for Jack to consider a better marriage than the legal stuff. And Willow may keep her promise to help with WSB funding. That way, Jack wouldn't have to testify about anything that happened to Nina or what he did to her or what he and Willow did to Drew. Also, this would be a great way for Nina to enjoy a little payoff for Valentin and Carly by hooking them up because I bet Nina will be jealous when she gets that too.
Cassius and Lulu May Get Married on GH
Another couple to consider is uncomfortable. Let's talk about Nathan and Lulu. If Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) married Lulu, they would avoid answering questions about Rocco's cover-up. You know, Lulu wouldn't answer any questions about what Cassius did to protect Rocco when he got out.
You know, though, that Lulu is pissed off about Nathan not telling him to take Rocco and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) and run away. Because of the danger from Cullum. He and Lulu got into this big fight recently and their romance is very new and he is showing signs that he doesn't like it. That is because he is not Nathan.
However, we do know that Faison men get their fix from women. So, I'm sure Cassius will jump at the chance to marry Lulu. Our author revealed that when he discovers the truth that Cassius is not Nathan and is his evil twin, he will not handle it well and Cassius becomes very dark.
A small bonus rewards you there. So it would be really wild if Lulu was in a better marriage with Cassius then. And Lulu may be stuck married to Cassius, even knowing the truth so she can continue to protect Rocco. And I could totally see Cassius manipulating things to go that way.
General Hospital Twist: Carly And Jack Brennan May Get Married
So, the last couple to talk about will be completely twisted. Laura Wright posted a photo in a white suit. He was in his dressing room on set. It may be a typical wedding dress, but the seller said it's not Carly and Valentin's wedding of a lifetime.
However, Carly may be in a situation where she has to marry someone, someone she doesn't really want to marry. What if she has to marry Jack Brennan to protect Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) or Valentin?
At this point, Carly can't really stand up to Jack, but I think she would marry the devil herself to protect Josslyn. And this could be Jack's way of punishing Carly for cheating on her with Valentin and rubbing it in his face.
Furthermore, Jack would like to see Valentin have to deal with him marrying the woman he wants. If Carly were to marry Jack, it would be more than a free marriage. It would be a complete hate marriage. We'll see how it goes.
