Farmer Wants Wife Stars React To Lauren Changing Husbands

I Farmer Wants Wife Season 4 kicked off with a bang when one of the contestants revealed that she felt “butterflies” about the wrong man.
When he entered the competition Lauren29, he was originally assigned to be a farmer Photo by Brett Maverick group of women during the Tuesday, April 21 episode, the couple quickly realized during their first date that they were not the same. Lauren then shocked the audience by telling the producers that she was very interested in getting to know a different farmer, Braden Pridemore.
“It was definitely a curveball and stuff,” Braden, 26, said to himself Us Weekly with a laugh before the start of season 4. “I'll be honest, at first I was like, 'I don't know about this. I don't feel good about this.' And nothing for Lauren. I think Lauren is a great girl.”
Despite his reluctance, Braden eventually agreed to meet up to give Lauren a shot and the duo agreed that there was a connection.
“I think he made a good case for himself like, 'Hey, we're all here to meet somebody.' And he shot his gun, so I wanted to respect that,” Braden said. “A lot was on my mind at that time.”
Braden said Us that narrowing down who was going home with him on the farm was a “hard” decision to make with so many “big women” in his group. He added that he has become “fast friends” with Brett and doesn't want to step on any toes.
“Can you believe that? Can you believe it?!” Brett, 35, played Us when asked about a last-minute exchange. “I was like, 'Can you do that? Is that part of you? Can I change?' No, I'm kidding. Braden caught his eye, I mean, who wouldn't? You are a good devil!”
Brett said Us that at the end of the day, Lauren made the “right move” for everyone involved. “If he likes someone a little bit, I mean, go ahead,” she said. “It won't hurt my feelings.”
Tuesday's episode got off to a great start with the introduction of Lauren and Brett. Lauren even shared during the confessional that she thought Brett was “really cute” and “her type to a T.”

“And I think farmer Brett as he's older, because I'm 29 years old, I feel like what we both want in life might be compatible,” she shared with the cameras, noting that she likes “love” and wants to find her “best friend and settle down.”
While their conversation was sweet — she told the other contestants that there were no “awkward moments” and that she “loved” Brett — Lauren eventually admitted that she went out on a date without “butterflies.”
She then pulled the producers aside to tell them that Brett “wasn't the right guy” for her and she wasn't interested in “wasting her time” with him. However, Braden had a lot of speed.
“I'd like to talk to Braden. His personality and his smart look, it's very different from a person,” he told producers. “I know it's not exactly following the guidelines, but I'm determined to find my husband.”
“This is about me,” he continued. “I didn't come to see if they like me, yes I wish they would like me back but I'm a big striker, I didn't come to waste time, I don't want fame.”

The producers respected Lauren's wishes and gave her the chance to meet the unsuspecting Braden. Although the two were not able to have an official date, they did get a chance to get to know each other briefly.
“I decided to follow my heart and my gut and usually my heart is right,” Lauren said as she went to the farmer. “I feel like there might be something special about Braden.”
The two chatted for a few minutes, with Braden praising Lauren for being “brave” and taking the opportunity to break the rules. They talked to him about being open to moving to Illinois – despite not knowing where it is on the map – and what they like to do in their free time. Lauren apologized for being a “trouble” before ushering her out as Braden continued to look shocked at the exchange.
Later in the evening, Braden confronted Brett about the unfortunate situation, who gave him the green light.
“Lauren was great, but for me personally, I didn't feel the connection at first,” Brett confirmed. “If it's something you feel is right, just take it.”
At a party later that night, Braden took a chance and chose Lauren over one of his first women to take back to his ranch with.
“I'm very happy,” he told the cameras. “I definitely got butterflies with Braden.”
Farmer Wants Wife season 4 airs on Fox Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
