Off campus star Mika Abdalla found love off screen with her boyfriend, Jake Short before they end their marriage in 2026.
Abdalla, who plays Allie Hayes in the hit drama Off campus The series, met in Short in 2021. Four years later, their engagement was confirmed by Short's manager, Brian Medavoy.
“A beautiful day yesterday celebrating the next chapter of my long-time client, Jake Short and his fiancee Mika Abdalla. From grooming to real life – watching your journey has been a joy. Here's to forever,” Medavoy quoted a post on Instagram in 2025, accompanying a photo of the couple.
Abdalla's spokesman then confirmed that Us Weekly in June 2026 that the actress recently broke up with Short.

Jake Short is an actor
Short starred in a series of plays, incl ANT Farm, Mighty Med again Lab Rats: Elite Force.
“I got into acting four years ago,” Short recalled in a 2011 interview. “I started in Indiana where I'm from. I progressed from there. I came out here, got a manager and an agent and that's my story of how I got involved in acting.”

Short took home the Kids Choice Award Winner for Favorite TV Actor in 2012 for his role in ANT Farm like Fletcher Quimby. He was nominated again in 2014 for the same award but lost Ross Lynch.

Short shared in March 2026 that he is directing his first short, starring Bradley Stephen Perry.
“I couldn't be more excited to share that my first directorial short will be screened in my hometown at BHFF and next door to my hometown at CIFF!” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “The possibility of these shows being separated on the same day seems unlikely, but please buy tickets if you can attend either festival on April 14 or 15. I will attend both festivals!!”
He continued, “The information about the tickets is in my bio. Countless lessons were learned in this process and I have a million thanks to give to everyone who helped along the way. I could go on here, but I'll keep it to that. The reason I want to keep doing things with my friends. And I hope to share this more often. See you on screen and in the next project.”

Short and Perry started their podcast, “The Sit and Chat,” in 2025. The latest episode of the duo went down in January 2025 with a guest. Olivia Holt.
“Two friends who grew up in the film industry talk to other creators about their backgrounds and the opportunities that lead them to pursue their passions,” reads the synopsis.

The pair first crossed paths in 2021 while playing on Hulu Sexual Complaintwhere they played best friends on screen who were researching intimacy.

Abdalla's spokesperson only confirmed that Us in May 2026 that she and Short ended their engagement and separated.
“Given the recent interest in Mika's life there can be some doubt that she and Jake are still together,” said Abdalla's spokesperson. Us on June 1, 2026. “They continue to support each other and remain in agreement, and kindly ask for privacy and respect.”
