Days of Our Lives: The Shocking Truth Behind Gwen's Kidnapping – The Case Revealed!

Days of Our Lives saw Gwen Rizczech (Emily O'Brien) kidnapped by a mysterious masked person last week and the first thought was that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) must be the one who took her. But now he is denying it.

And honestly, he did this in an interview with Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney), someone he has no reason to lie to. And no matter how much he encouraged her, EJ stuck to her story of innocence. So, if he's not behind you, who took Gwen? And I believe that the culprit is the person who will turn a blind eye.

Days of Our Lives: EJ Looks Guilty

So, first, we have to talk about EJ. We have to talk about him first because he is the one who is clearly guilty despite his denials because Gwen and EJ have been going out as he tells her that he will not honor the fifty-five split with Gwen Versix serum amount. But EJ beat Gwen, I think partly to punish her by bringing back Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte). So Gwen decided to give back to EJ by buying Salem University Hospital get out from under him.

And sure enough, the same day he heard that the board wanted him out. And Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) said they authorized Gwen's purchase when Gwen was kidnapped. But when Rita told EJ that Gwen was missing, EJ seemed genuinely surprised. So, despite all the red flags raised about him as Gwen's kidnapper, it may not actually be the dimple-clad DiMera who committed the worst act.

DOOL: Suspects in Gwen's kidnapping

Other DiMera The closest case to consider is the henchwoman Rita herself. He follows EJ's orders and has been with DiMera family from as early as the days of Stephen. And honestly there's nothing Rita wouldn't do to protect EJ. So Rita could take the initiative. He may have ordered one of the family thugs to let Gwen go.

Not only that, but Rita may have been kidnapped by Gwen to protect EJ from Gwen's plan to take over the hospital from her. And it's possible that Rita asked EJ about Gwen's kidnapping so she could have a plausible deniability. That way, EJ won't suspect that Rita did it too, and he can be completely transparent.

So, if the kidnapper isn't EJ or his sidekick Rita, it could be Gwen's former friend Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). Kristen has one of her henchmen kidnap Gwen. Remember, Kristen had those bad guys help her dump Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) in the Salem River.

So, Kristen may have tasked them with doing her dirty work again and kidnapping Gwen. And it could be about the recent fight between Kristen and Gwen. And Kristen may have kidnapped Gwen because they both want Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).

Is Kristen Guilty On Dates?

Now, we've seen Kristen really enjoying her time with Xander. Also, Kristen may have been upset that Gwen showed up to confront her in the mansion. Also, we know that Kristen plans to foil EJ's plan to kidnap her and dump her on the island. He arranges this big exchange with Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford). And Kristen plans to return to Salem as soon as possible. And she might want Xander without competition from Gwen. Or Kristen may have taken Gwen in on a scheme to frame EJ.

So, speaking of a revenge plot as a motive, Gwen's ex-husband's cheater, Dimitri, may have had his ex-wife, Gwen, kidnapped because Dimitri is convinced that Gwen was responsible for his abduction which led to her estrangement from her then lover, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart). And we all know that Dimitri is right. He did it. Gwen and EJ kidnap Dimitri and hide him in Alamania while they use his money in a secret hospital basement.

And then Dimitri was set up again to make it look like he helped Peter Blake (Dan Gauthier) kidnap the DiMeras. Long story short, Dimitri wants Gwen to pay for kidnapping him and messing up her shot with Leo. Because if you remember, Gwen wrote the letter Dear John from Dimitri to Leo. And in the book, Gwen wrote as if she were Dimitri. And she broke Leo's heart by falling in love with a rando felon she met in prison.

And then Gwen brought Dimitri back to Salem on the day of Leo and Javi Hernandez's (Jacob Martinez) wedding on purpose to disrupt things. So, Leo was hurt again. Dimitri was initially a wanted man and Leo tried to help clear his name. But even when Dimitri was free, Leo decided that he couldn't go back because he still wanted Javi. So Dimitri left town in a rage and he must have been cooking and planning how to make Gwen pay and find a way to get Leo back for good.

And we know Dimitri is coming back to Salem this summer because in a big promotion, Gwen, Dimitri, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), and Leo are all in the spotlight. DiMera living room that plays Let's Have a Feast. So maybe Dimitri took Gwen and dumped her somewhere to get revenge. But Dimitri might bring her back to Salem with him. When Leo contacts Dimitri and says, “Look, if you took Gwen, please give me back my best friend.” And if so, I think Dimitri will bring him home to Leo. I see Dimitri as a reasonable suspect for the kidnapping.

However, there is one last thing to consider. Some fans of the soap think that someone who did not appear kidnapped Gwen, and they are not part of the current canvas of characters. And that person is Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel), who is supposedly dead and gone. But I think most of us don't believe he is dead. I mean, heck, I'm not even sure her son Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) is dead. Most people think Vivian is still alive and kicking because, let's be real, she has lied about her death many times before.

So, even though the Alamanian authorities and his loyal sidekick Ivan Marais (Ivan G'Vera) say Madame Vivian is dead, I'm not buying it. In addition, Gwen and Vivian got rich together in the past. Both were involved in Dimitri's kidnapping. And of course, Vivian hates it DiMera the family. And of course, Gwen is no dummy. She makes good use of Stefan's money that she got from Dimitri in their terrible divorce. But the question is, if Vivian is alive, why would she kidnap Gwen Days of Our Lives?

There may be a backstory we don't know where he double crosses Vivian. Or maybe Gwen was getting too close to another truth that Vivian has been hiding, like Stefan is still alive or Vivian is still alive. Vivian may want Gwen out of Salem and silenced while her plans unfold. And it's possible that Vivian has Ivonne take Gwen and arrest their common enemy, EJ, for the crime. So it's possible that Gwen is in Alamania right now. So, we will find out. He may have been taken as a pawn in Vivian's plot against EJ.

And then if he gets arrested for his kidnapping, maybe Vivian will finally let Gwen go. Whoever took her, we know that Leo will be arrested and determined to find his mate. Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez), Leo, and Kayla all think it's weird that Gwen hasn't answered their texts or calls, and she missed an important meeting with Kayla. Furthermore, Gwen told Leo that if something happened to her, EJ did it. And Gwen has a dead man's switch that will take EJ down if he gets lost.

So, maybe Leo needs to go tell EJ, “Let Gwen go or she's going to really regret it.” But I don't think EJ did. And even if he is threatened by that dead person's transformation, I don't think he can cough up Gwen. So I'm looking forward to seeing Leo talk all this out with Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) at the end of the week. But Gwen will be back soon, I think, before too long, safe and sound. And I think the villain we've captured is going to be a jaw-dropper for everyone.
