Days of Our Lives it shows that it is painfully obvious that Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd) is not over Cat Green (AnnaLynne McCord) when we see his face when he and Belle Black see EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) leaving the scene with Cat. But will Chad's jealousy push EJ to bring Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller) back from the dead so he can be with Cat?
I mean, man, you could feel the tension when Cat and EJ ran into Chad and Belle who were out the other day in Horton Square. Cat and EJ, of course, were showing up for dinner. And importantly, the DiMera brothers were both smitten by the same kitten. And we're going to talk about the fallout from that.
Chad And The EJ Kids Have A Cat Race On Days Of Our Lives
Ever since Chad came back with a new face, he has been aggressive towards EJ. So, I wonder if Abby's awakening comes because of this new sibling conflict with another woman. Even worse, that woman is Cat. The one who pretended to be Abby back from the dead. Before the character switch, we saw EJ and Chad getting along well. I mean, as far as the DiMera siblings go.
But that is now changing. Everyone in Salem seems to know that Chad should have agreed with Jack and Jennifer in his prison terms. That means he will never pursue Cat as a love interest. Chad's mother-in-law, Jennifer, can't believe that Chad forgave Cat after pretending to be Jen's dead daughter, Abigail. And to be honest, what helped Chad forgive Kati was finding out that Clyde Weston was with Kati's mother and was threatening to kill her.
But Jennifer Horton doesn't care. She doesn't think it was appropriate for Chad to fall in love with a cheater, especially since it upset his son Thomas so much. So to end the ugly custody battle before it got any worse, Chad agreed to stay away from Cat and had just had a first date with Belle.

And we know that EJ, you know, doesn't like seeing Belle go out with her little brother Chad, even though EJ went out with Cat. You know, they weren't on the actual date. But the bottom line was that EJ made his turn with Belle when he threw her under the bus during Johnny's trial last year.
And now EJ, you know, doesn't like hanging out with Chad. But it looks like he's over her. We know Belle hates him. And now EJ is very focused on Cat. He kissed her as if he was interrupting her. Such was the case when Chad returned to Salem after going to see Will and Sonny. And the decision is independent of whether Kati has a common legal interest in EJ or if Kati still works for the ISA. Also, EJ and Cat have vague shared memories of their time in an Italian hospital together. Of course, Cat's anxious EJ doing hypnotherapy will reveal that she has ISA.
In addition, he recently told Kati that he misses her in the hospital. But his memories of being Sami are too many. And of course, Cat is still working with FBI agent Ray Fernandez to spy on EJ and gather evidence from his secret lab. I don't know if that's dead in the water. So, Chad confronted EJ about the secret project. That was before everyone knew it was Lexie. Because he stumbled out of the secret verse after reading the will. And Chad hoped that EJ would wake up Abigail. But EJ said Abby wasn't saved immediately after being stabbed to death, so she wasn't a strong case for resuscitation.
And I remember that Chad begged the help of Dr. Rolf after Abigail's death. But Rolf also said that Abby had lost a lot of blood. He could not revive. However, I still think EJ might have Abigail in a human pod somewhere. And if EJ thinks Chad is a threat to the relationship EJ wants with Kati, I can see EJ getting Abby back. That will get Chad out of the way. Because he would only focus on Abigail.

Now, just like EJ and Chad were in the past. And since EJ is as honest as he says Abby can't be resurrected, let's be real, I wouldn't put it on EJ to lie to Chad. Or maybe EJ isn't sure if Abigail is working or not. He doesn't want to get Chad's hopes up because the way Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) died and the way Abigail died were very different. One was stabbed to death, there was no warning, no chance to take action, there and Lexie, they knew he was going to die.
So, they had plenty of time to prepare to save him in the hope that he could be resurrected later. And EJ may know that even though Abby has only been dead for four years, compared to 15-year-old Lexie, the violent circumstances of Abby's death make it a challenge. If you remember, EJ didn't even tell Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) about Lexie for a while. Because EJ didn't want to give false hope. And that's probably why he tells Chad that no, Abby can't come back.
Days of Our Lives: EJ's Ulterior Motives
Now, of course, EJ had ulterior motives with Theo. Because he wanted him out of the CEO seat so that Johnny could stay at work. But with Lexie still recovering and the hospital board facing her case, EJ may not be planning to start another resurrection just yet.
But if Chad interrupts EJ's pursuit of the cat, or if Chad seems ready to defy Jennifer and start seeing Cat for himself, things may change. Therefore, jealousy can cause EJ to warn and bring Abby back when EJ should wait and see how things go with Lexie.
EJ Can Use Abby's Resurrection To Make Chad Jealous Of Dates
Because if Abby comes back from the dead, you know, this could twist in a few different ways. So, if Chad is with Cat then and EJ gets Abby back, he might do it to lure her and follow her to drive Chad nuts and make him really jealous so he can get away from Cat. And if you recall, EJ and Abby had a heated exchange years ago when he was engaged to Sami Brady (Allison Sweeney).
So, EJ can have Rolf brainwash Abby as part of the resurrection process, like Lee Shin (Remington (Hoffman) had Dr. Rolf do with Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash). Remember, Rolf tricked Stefan into thinking he was in love with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjornlil) because Lee wanted Gabi Hernandez (Cherie, EJ thinks that Cat himself really wants. Abigail is not in the mind her romance But I also think EJ is not above using Abby's resurrection to drive Chad off the deep end. Days of Our Lives.
Days of Our Lives: Abby's Anniversary of Abby's Upcoming Death
Also, we're about to discuss the fourth anniversary of Abigail's passing, which takes place in June 2022. And it's surprising that the deceased will have Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) return to Salem this week and reunite with his other daughter Gwen. So I wonder if Jack wants Gwen to help him find out if EJ might have Abigail hidden in a human pod. Because ever since Chad and Jack dug up Abigail's grave and found it empty, they've been searching for her remains.
If you remember, they were dug up back in 2024 when the cat started cropping up and they did a DNA test and all that. And Clyde Weston (James Read) seems to know something about Abby's whereabouts. You know, where is his body? But unfortunately he is unconscious and can't say anything. So, I wouldn't be at all surprised if EJ has Abby's body in cold storage with plans to eventually try to bring her back. And I could see EJ's jealousy of Kati and Chad pushing him to act rashly and bring her back or try to just get what he wants, which is Kati. So, we'll see how it goes.
