NFL player Dalton Risner wife, Whitneythey have lost two pregnancies in just a few months.
“At 16 weeks, Dalton and I found out we lost our sweet baby boy. I wish I was writing any other post than this right now,” Whitney, 28, shared a joint Instagram post with her husband, 31, on Friday, July 17. “I never thought our journey to start a family would start like this. This is our second loss in just a few months.”
Whitney, who married the Cincinnati Bengals guard in June 2022, continued to thank her husband for his support during the couple's ordeal. “More than ever, I've realized how important it is who you marry and choose to live with. Life is hard in so many different ways. I can't imagine going through this without my rock and my best friend, @dalton_risner66,” she wrote before discussing how her recent miscarriage affected her.
“This loss has brought me the deepest pain and heartache I've ever known. It feels like I've lost so much … our precious baby boy, pieces of me, and the future I had planned for the past 4 months,” she wrote. “To everyone who prayed for us, saw us, and loved us on this journey of starting a family, thank you. We are very grateful for your kindness.”
The jewelry designer concluded, “If you are walking this same painful road, I want you to know that you are not alone.”
During the interview in June for The questionerOn the “Beyond Sunday” podcast, Whitney talked about the collection she created, titled “The Forever Collection,” as a result of her pregnancy loss. “My husband and I lost a pregnancy this past season, and I was sitting there thinking about having something to show for it,” she told the host. Kelsey Conway of the pieces designed with a pear-shaped diamond to represent the mother and a round diamond to represent the child. You are going through this really difficult, extensive process that is not only about losing your child, but also the following things that you have to go through and deal with. And then you're left with nothing.”

The Risners' social media announcement of their loss included photos taken from a pregnancy photo shoot intended to reveal Whitney's latest pregnancy.
In these pictures, the couple smiled at the beach with their dog as their furry pet licked a white cake for the celebration.
