Courtney Stodden Criticizes Dr. Drew with a Breast Ultrasound at age 16

Courtney Stodden blame the television personality Dr. Drew Pinsky of being abused when she says he forced her to have her breasts examined on live television when she was young.

“Dr. Drew put me on his program when I was 16 and did an ultrasound to see if my breasts were real or if I was lying about my breasts,” Stodden, now 31, said in a post shared via Instagram on Saturday, June 27. “I wasn't an underage girl. Being on the program was straight up with my abuser.”

At the time, 16-year-old Stodden was married to a 51-year-old actress. Doug Hutchison. Stodden finally filed for divorce from the actor in 2018 and the former couple finalized their separation in 2020.

“There's clearly a problem in America,” Stodden said Fox News Digital in an October 2025 interview about her experiences as a young bride. “We think of child marriage as something, like overseas or foreign, but actually America's dirty little secret is a loophole in the justice system so that, in my opinion, child abusers marry children.”

He added at the time, “And the scariest thing about this whole thing is that I'm not alone.

In his Saturday upload, Stodden shared screenshots of his 2011 interview on Dr. Drew. Dr. Drew's Lifechangers. During this episode, the young man at the time was ordered to lie down on stage in front of the studio audience while Dr. Drew has a breast ultrasound to check for a breast implant.

“These pictures make me very sad because I see a little girl being abused by grown men and used to be looked at and teased,” he continued in his intense words. “Dr. Drew, what made you think this was a good idea? As a doctor, did you think this was really healthy for a little girl to go through? Did you care?”

Stodden also marked Dr. Drew in the post, who had not publicly addressed Stodden's claims at press time. Us Weekly reached out to representatives for the TV host for comment but did not receive a response.

Stodden – who has been open about her 35-year marriage to Hutchison and has since said she was mentored by the actor – has become an advocate against child marriage – a practice that continues in the United States. There are currently 33 states that allow a child under the age of 18 to marry, while 17 states have banned the practice.

“Seeing everything that has happened to me in the present time has been a lot to process,” he said Fox News Digital for the same interview in 2025. “When I first came into the limelight as a little girl, my mind wasn't developed yet. And I had a certain image of what my life was. I thought I knew everything. I mean, what kid doesn't at 16. Then when things started to get serious – and my role seemed to change quickly in the marriage – I became the breadwinner.”

Stodden revealed that she received negative comments and attacks about her age gap marriage, including leaked DMs. Chrissy Teigen where the actor encouraged 16-year-old Stodden to commit suicide.

“Not many people are lucky enough to have to answer for all of their bulls*** past in front of the whole world,” Teigen, 40, wrote in a since-deleted post shared by X, apologizing for her earlier comments. “I'm hurt and depressed the way I was. I was insecure, I'm an attention seeker. I'm embarrassed and ashamed of my behavior but that's nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel.”

In 2025, Stodden revealed that he was considering suicide because of the hate he received online.

“I have a suicide note,” he said in an ABC News documentary IMPACT x Night Line: Confessions of a Child Bride. “I remember my last thought was, 'You know, maybe I don't deserve to be here when the higher ups are telling me I shouldn't be.'
