Bunnie Xo Slams Separation Rumors Before Divorcing Jelly

Bunny Xo she applauded rumors that her marriage was in trouble less than a year before her husband separated from her Jelly Roll filed for divorce.
“Someone said the other day, 'They were always together, and now you don't see them together,'” Bunnie, 46, said on the August 2025 episode of her “Dumb Blonde” podcast. “I'm like, 'Don't you know that six months ago [that] I've been trying to make a baby?'”
Us Weekly confirmed on Monday, June 15, that Jelly Roll (real name: Jason Bradley DeFord), 41, filed for divorce from Bunnie (real name: Alisa DeFord) in May in Tennessee after almost ten years of marriage. That same day, Bunnie made a private Instagram post about finding her “glow” again.
Us has reached out to representatives for both stars for comment.
The podcaster previously responded to marriage speculation after Jelly Roll had a whirlwind summer in 2025, including talking about a European tour with. Post Malone even meeting Pope Leo XIV during his visit to Vatican City.
Meanwhile, Bunnie Xo insisted that she couldn't join her husband on the road because they were exploring reproductive options. (Jelly Roll shares son Noah Buddy, 9, with ex Melisa Ann Cowell and a daughter Bailey Ann18, and eg Felicia Beckwith.)
“My husband has to work to bring home the bacon,” Bunnie told podcast listeners last August. “Fortunately, I have the luxury of working at home. He doesn't. He has to show up, but I've been on IVF for six months and I'm so sad and so happy.”
He added, “That's why you didn't see me [because] mom is about to go out. I have to remind them. I might do a sexy photoshoot and piss off all the if***ing [haters].”

And in February, Bunnie Xo opened up about her memoir Beat Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic about how he and Jelly Roll rekindled their marriage after cheating a few years ago. (Jelly Roll described his infidelity as “one of the worst moments of my life” in an October 2025 appearance on the “Human School” podcast.)
Bunnie spoke only to him Us about why she was honest with her students about the “betrayal” she had with her husband's cheating.
“I don't think anyone can just get out of it. It's a process. You're really hurt and your heart hurts but you're still in love with this person. Even though dating is part of the book, it's not our business,” he said. Us in February. “That's what made us who we are today and I think it's the students [of her memoir] you definitely need to eat it, chew it and think about it. But they also see what we did in that whole situation. It completely changed who we are as people and how we look at love.”
Jelly Roll agreed to People later in February that it was “hard at times” to read Bunnie's diary.
“We faced a lot of pain and we had to face it together, but we are reading the book
every book and seeing where it ended up is touching,” he added.” “I'm proud of her for telling her story without regret. I mean, she speaks out about everything without fear, from domestic assault to sexual assault. I'm proud of her. She's brave.”
