I Buffy the Vampire Slayer the franchise has mourned the deaths of other characters over the years.
The hit series, which ran from 1997 to 2003, followed Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) as a high school student who also manages to save the world from vampires and demons. Michelle Trachtenbergon the other hand, he died in February 2025 after a private health battle.
“It is with great sadness that we can confirm that Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away,” a representative for the Gossip Girl alum said in a statement at the time. “The family requests privacy regarding their loss. There are no further details available at this time.”

Nicholas Brendon
Us confirmed in March 2026 that Nicholas Brendon died at the age of 54.
“We are saddened by the passing of our brother and son, Nicholas Brendon,” his family told us in a statement, adding that Brendon died in his sleep of “natural causes.”
“Many people know Nicky for his work as an actor and live actors over the years. In recent years, Nicky has found his passion for painting and art,” the statement continued. “Nicky loved to share his passionate talent with his family, friends and fans. He was loving, compassionate, and endlessly creative. Those who really knew him understood that his art was one of the things that defined who he was.”
His family concluded by saying: “Our family asks us to be private during this time as we are saddened by his loss and we celebrate the life of a person who lived with determination, thoughts and heart, we thank everyone who showed love and support.”

Camden Toy, who was known for his work playing monsters Buffy the Vampire Slayerdied at the age of 68 in December 2023. Before his death, Toy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, his long-time partner, Bethany Hendersonhe went public on social media.
“He was diagnosed in February of last year after months of mysterious pain. For many reasons we had high hopes, at least, for the longest and most fruitful time in the world. Even the latest challenges felt like there was an ongoing problem. Unfortunately, it seems that we have come to an end with the doctor's medicine,” he wrote on Facebook noting that Toy did not go public for many reasons for his diagnosis.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our extraordinary father, Anthony Head,” they announced. “He passed away peacefully from complications from pneumonia, surrounded by his family.”
Emily and Daisy continued, “It was, and always will be, an honor and a privilege to be his daughters, and to see firsthand the impact he and his work had on so many products, throughout a career that spanned several decades.”
While he is best known for playing Giles Buffy the Vampire SlayerAnthony had an acting career spanning nearly 50 years and a memorable appearance Ted Lasso, Doctor Who again Bridgerton. Anthony was nominated along with no Ted Lasso won the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Award at the Screen Actors Guild Awards (now known as the Actors Awards) in 2024.
