Bear Brown Says Brother Matt Struggled Before Disappearing

Bebe Brown shared his brother's details Matt Brown's past struggles between Alaskan Bush People the disappearance of alum.

Posted on TikTok on Thursday, May 28, Bear, 38, said Matt, 43, was going through difficult times in his life.

“He's been struggling for a long time, you know, with alcohol and drugs and stuff,” Bear said. “He has other problems and other things. He has done many things that people like, even those who do not know.”

In the video, Bear recalled the last contact he had with his sibling, explaining that he met Matt at Walmart and they talked for a few minutes.

“That was the last time I saw him, you know, and he called me after, and he said he fell off the wagon, and I said, 'Well, get back to it, man, you know, everybody falls, you know, just get back to it, rehab if you have to, you got this, you've fought hard before, last call, and I was with him in the past.

Bear added that Matt was also going through a relationship breakdown at the time.

“It was going through like a terrible breakup,” Bear said. “There was this girl he really liked, and I think, like, they broke up, and I think he was drinking too much and stuff, and I don't know all the details of it.”

There are serious fears for Matt's welfare after witnesses claim to have seen Matt floating in the river. Bear addressed the claims in a TikTok video, clarifying that he could not confirm that the speculation was “100% accurate” but that it was “possible.”

TMZ reported that the Okanogan County Sheriff's Office received an anonymous call Wednesday about a man sitting in the shallows of the Okanogan River in Washington. The caller said he saw a man lying face down in the river being washed away by the current. Paramedics searched the area but have not found the body.

A source close to the Brown family said Us Weekly“The family is not sure what to believe right now. They are not sure where Matt is but they are hoping that he is alive and that the information is not correct. They are all in contact and talking to the police waiting to hear. They have had their problems. [with Matt] again Gabe It's been a very connected person.”

Bear and Matt both appeared on the show Discovery Alaskan Bush People. The series aired from 2014 to 2022. Matt quietly exited the reality show in 2019.
