General Hospital: Dante and Elizabeth Are Endgame – Ric Is Destroyed!

General Hospital you see that since four months ago, GH started the chemistry test Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). And from the jump, they've been smitten by fans, even though she and Rick Lansing (Jon Lindstrom) were clearly on the road to reconciliation at the time, albeit unofficially.

And now that Liz is officially back with Rick, we've seen Dante show some respect, but I think I'm also skeptical. I'm still clearly leaning towards Liz, though, and I suspect that Dante and Liz might be Endgame.

It's Belinda from Soap Dirt, and we're going to talk about why Dante and Liz might be crushing on Rick soon. But first, please click subscribe if you are not already following us.

Chemistry Test Begins

So from the first moment when we started getting these dedicated scenes of Elizabeth alone with Dante, it was obvious that General Hospital it was testing the viewer's reaction and yes, the spark was definitely there. And since then, Liz and Dante have shared several important scenes together.

There are no signs of slowing down either. So before February 2026, we didn't really have a chance to see Elizabeth interact much with Dante. You know, he was busy with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), head over heels in love until his death in October 2024. And after that, he was sad, raising their shared children, and then a year later, they brought Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) out of her coma. And the fans thought that Dante and Lulu will wake up again, but in reality they don't go there and never started since his awakening.

First, because Dante was sad even though Lulu woke up, he still loved her, but Dante rejected her and they have been fighting since then. Lulu's romance with Nathan aka Cody Bell disturbed Dante a bit, but then he accepted it because, you know, he realized that he waited too long and Lulu probably won't be with him.

Meanwhile, Rick Lansing returned to Port Charles not long before Lulu came out of the coma and Rick has been talking about Liz since he got back. But he didn't want Rick because of his short term. So he met Ava Jerome (Maura West), but their romance was over and he had that kidnapping ordeal at the hands of Ava and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Christine and that changed him a lot and both Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Elizabeth gave Rick another chance.

GH Keeps It Together

So now that Liz and Rick are back together, it doesn't seem like there's room for Dante, right? However, General Hospital keeps bringing Liz and Dante together in scenes and that means they are still thinking about pairing them up. And we had a leak about Rick's illness. And there's also a chance that he could just go dark, especially if Jason Morgan (Roger Howarth) is back because Rick and Jason hate each other and it's a competition for Sonny's attention. So, we're going to consider why Dante and Liz are such a strong couple and they might be the end despite Rick being back in his life right now.

Strong Chemistry Between Dante and Liz

So, right off the bat, there's that really good chemistry between Liz and Dante. They passed the General Hospital a chemical experiment, I think, with flying colors. Fans started talking about them in those first scenes in February of this year. Also, Liz is really the first woman we've seen Dante talk to since Sam died. And yes, he was not grateful when Lulu woke up from his four-year coma, and he will always love her. But Dante and Lulu remain broken and unable to function as a romantic couple. At least not now. But with Liz, it seems that Dante is starting to feel something. It's just a small spark now, but it can lead to so much more.

So, another reason General Hospital he might want Liz and Dante as the endgame couple because there is this fan base that is growing by the day. And great couples attract viewers and bring in ratings. We all know it. Also, Elizabeth alone, as a character, has a very passionate fan base and people are excited that she's finally getting a story. And of course, Dante and Liz have a bad reputation. If you haven't seen it on social media, it's Elante, and I love it. Hopefully, GH will give the fans what they want. And it seems they really want Liz and Dante. And many think that Rick will screw up and lose Liz anyway. So, there's that.

Similar Life Experiences

Also, Dante and Elizabeth are both decent people who want to do what is right and generally behave well. Now, obviously, neither Dante nor Liz are perfect. Both have made their share of mistakes. Liz is really confused about the Jake Do thing back in the day. Remember, he found out that Jake was really Jason Morgan then, but he didn't tell anyone because he wanted to keep it to himself. So, he lied. However, the truth came out and he met Sam. It turned out that he was really Drew because they created a secret twin.

As for Dante, remember that he sneaked into WSB trying to take down the thug who almost killed Lulu during the day. And Dante turned into a deranged murderer. And she had that bad PTSD for a while and it tore her family apart and made life really hard for Lulu. But now both Dante and Elizabeth are solid citizens. They are good parents and decent people and have been through a lot of the same things. So Dante and Liz can really understand each other both past and present. And their similar life stories at various touchstones is part of why Dante, I think, continues to go to Liz for advice because he gets her. He does not judge him.

Children's Communication

Another reason Liz and Dante have endgame power is because of their children. Liz is a good mother to her boys and cares for Rocco (Robert Adamson). You helped him a lot. And Liz even got hurt recently trying to stop Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) from taking Rocco and running away, even though Britt got the best of her. And I mean, Rocco wasn't really taken. He wanted to go. In addition, Liz was honest with Dante about Rocco's suspicions and that he thought he shot Cullum. And at that time, Lulu was unfaithful to him.

And Dante has been a great stepfather to Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski). Sam and Drew's daughter was there. So Dante would obviously be good for Liz's boyfriends. I think both Dante and Liz would be great stepparents to each other's children. And Elizabeth knows what it's like to make someone sad.

So Liz will always be understanding about Dante, you know, loving and saddening Sam. He has already supported Dante when it comes to Sam. Not only did Dante and Liz both lose their loved ones, but they lost them to terrible violence. Her husband, Franco (Roger Howarth), was killed by Peter August, her fiance, Sam, was killed by Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) after she gave her courage to save Lulu. Therefore, Elizabeth completely understands these complex feelings that Dante has.

What about Rick?

As for Rick, our leaker said he might be sick. They talked about some kind of blood disease or blood cancer and that it could be life or death, but not necessarily that he was going to die. Even if he's okay, that doesn't mean he and Elizabeth will stay because, let's face it, Rick tends to screw up all of his relationships. Also, many fans would actually like to see him get back with Alexis. They love their noisy vibe. I could really see Dante and Liz as Endgame and Rick finally being completely crushed.
