Netflix adds tons of new movies every month, and they usually have high Rotten Tomatoes scores.
But not all films are created equal, and there are good – or at least fun – pictures with a scary green splat that conveys serious opposition.
Check with us here to shine a light on a few great Netflix movies with unfairly bad Rotten Tomatoes scores.
At the top of our watch list is that Sex is hota sexually suggestive joke Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel again Rob Lowe.
'Sex Tape' (2014)

Jay and Annie Hargrove (Jason Segel again Cameron Diaz) are a married couple who love each other, but their sex life has become boring. To spice things up, they film themselves having sex, but are horrified when they accidentally upload the video to several iPads they've given as gifts. To prevent the video from being made public, they must secretly return the iPads to family, friends and colleagues before anyone finds out what's on them.
Sex is hot it's a comedy made at a time when Hollywood was making bawdy comedies. Even though it was released 12 years ago, it feels like a relic of another time when comics could be naughty and fun at the same time. Diaz is an expert in movies like this; suggests a woman who still has a bad habit for him, even though her life consists of PTA meetings and scheduled dates with her schlubby husband. Segel is also great as the husband who has taken on all kinds of entertainment, from reenactments Kama Sutra hacking into the headquarters of a porn website to destroy its servers.
'Snowden' (2016)

About 15 years ago, everyone was talking Edward Snowden. The NSA spy contract blew the whistle on the US government's sweeping surveillance program, prompting some to hail him as a hero. But the situation, like the man himself, is much more complex than simple binary labels, which is what it does Oliver StoneThe biopic is very entertaining – and frustrating – to watch.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt he plays Snowden not as a hero but as a workhorse who is slowly disillusioned by what he sees. In particular, he is worried that the government he works for is using him, and the valuable data they collect, to kill potential enemies abroad. It's not what Edwards signed up for, and he thinks the world should know what his employers are up to.
Was he right? Or does it weaken America's national security? Stone has a clear stance, but leaves enough room for you to decide for yourself. Not so confusing is the quality of the film, which is excellent. A star-studded cast includes Shailene Woodley as Snowden's girlfriend too Zachary Quinto as journalist Glenn Greenwald, but it is Gordon-Levitt who is most impressive as an American who has become slightly disillusioned with his country and eventually betrays it.
'The Exorcism' (2024)

That's the interesting premise behind it Exorcismis a behind-the-scenes horror film that blurs the line between fact and fiction. Russell Crowe he plays the role of Anthony Miller, a former lead actor who got a second chance at fame when he was brought in to fill the lead role. The Georgetown Projecta horror film about demon possession. Miller wants to redeem himself, as an actor and as a father to his teenage daughter, Lee (Ryan Simpkins), that is why he walks full of the Way in his depiction of a priest consumed by his obsession. But as Miller begins to behave erratically, Lee begins to wonder if his father is acting or if he is possessed by a real demon.

While Exorcism doesn't always succeed, it has enough interesting ideas to warrant a watch. Its 27 percent is very low – the film is very enjoyable B-movie with Crowe's best performance. Most demon possessed movies are really bad, though ExorcismAn unusual concept and a fair amount of horror elements make it a horror film worth a late night binge.
