President Donald Trump on Saturday floated the idea of holding MAGA's 250th anniversary gala after many artists pulled out of a concert scheduled for this summer.
In a lengthy post on Truth Social, Trump suggested canceling the Great American State Fair's Freedom 250 concerts. He also took aim at a judge on Friday who ordered his name removed from the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts.
“We should have a giant MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN RALLY, with 250, instead of having overpriced musicians, who nobody wants to hear, whose music is boring, yet they do nothing but complain,” Trump wrote.
“Withdraw it, just as I withdrew my involvement in the failed and unsafe Kennedy Center, because a very controversial, bent Federal Judge said I shouldn't be allowed to use my time and money to MAKE THE CENTER AND, in fact, bigger than ever!” he continued.

The comments came as several artists withdrew from performing at the Great American State Fair, a large national celebration organized on the National Mall in Washington, DC, from the US Capitol to the Washington Monument.
The event is scheduled to run from June 25 to July 10, 2026, as part of the country's America 250 celebration.
Earlier this week, the organizers of Freedom 250 released a list of artists who were supposed to appear at the event, but many artists withdrew, including Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, Young MC, Morris Day and The Time, and C+C Music Factory.

Other artists, including rapper Vanilla Ice, said they were “honoured” to take part.
In another social media post on Saturday, Trump suggested he might replace the concert with a big speech after several musicians got “the yips.”
“I understand that Musicians get the 'yips' associated with their performance on Wednesdays, so I'm thinking of bringing the Number One Attraction anywhere in the World, a man who gets more audiences than Elvis in his lifetime, and he does it without a guitar, a man who loves our Country more than anyone else, and a man who some say is the Greatest President in History (Goat, taking the Third TRUONA!), rate 'Musicians,' and give a big speech, you are moving the country forward as I have done since I became President!” Trump wrote.

Trump said he is considering giving a speech and holding a rally on June 24 to kick off the festivities.
“I don't want so-called artists who earn a lot of money, who are unhappy,” he wrote. “I only want to be surrounded by Happy People, Smart People, Successful People, and people who know how to WIN.”
Freedom 250 later announced that Trump would, in fact, deliver a speech before the Great American State Fair.
