AEW Forbidden Door 2026 complete match card predictions and picks

The Forbidden Door is one of the most unique events on the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) calendar.
This match brings wrestlers from AEW, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and Stardom all on one card. To increase the level of development, the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Mens and Women's Tournaments will also be completed.
The 2026 Iteration card of Forbidden Door has five championship games. The event begins at 7pm ET with the Buy In and the main card begins at 8pm ET at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

Skye Blue vs. Maika
Stardom's Skye Blue and Maika will compete in the Shop Inside the Forbidden Door segment with a spot on the TBS Survival of the Fittest match on the line. The winner will advance for a shot at the TBS Championship, vacated by Willow Nightingale due to injury. Blue has been reunited with Thekla, who has promised to destroy Stardom and New Japan. Blue will give the Triangle of Madness their first single at Stardom.
Prediction: Skye Blue win this one.

Megan Bayne and Lena Kross (c) vs. Thunder Rosa and Olympia for the AEW Women's World Tag Championship

Megan Bayne and Lena Kross, the Divine Dominion, have been on a tear since winning the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship. The two dispatched every challenger in their path. On Sunday, they will face Thunder Rosa and CMLL's Olympia. The power of Divine Dominion cannot be ignored here.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage (c) vs. David Finlay and Clark Connors for the AEW World Tag Team Championship

David Finlay and Clark Connors directed Adam Copeland and Christian Cage since the end of Double or Nothing. Copeland and Cage couldn't even have their time to take some candid photos with AEW fans. They have had to look over their shoulders for almost every AEW TV appearance. But the veteran tag team lived up to their illustrious career where it mattered most – in the ring.
Prediction: Cope and Cage retain the tag titles at their waist.

Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson vs. Místico and Máscara Dorada vs. Shingo Takagi and Titan
The most dangerous tag team match puts the best of pro wrestling on display. The Young Bucks take on Místico and Máscara Dorada as well as Shingo Takagi and Titán. AEW, CMLL and NJPW will be featured in this match in what should be fun.
Prediction: Matt and Nick Jackson take home the win here.

Jon Moxley (c) vs. Bandido for the AEW Continental Championship

Jon Moxley has held the AEW Continental Championship since the end of Worlds in December and has defended the title throughout. Bandido presents a unique challenge for Moxley, who likes to keep his opponents focused for the most part. Bandido could pull off an upset here at the Forbidden Door and take the title away from a member of the Death Riders.
Prediction: Bandido wins AEW gold

Shota Umino (c) vs. Pac for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship

New Japan's Shota Umino will return to the AEW ring to defend the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship against Pac. He won the title from AEW's Andrade in a three-way match at Dominion earlier this month. It's a big title defense as he takes on the hard-hitting Pac. If Pac and Moxley were to lose, the Death Riders would be without any tag team titles.
Prediction: Umino retains the title

Thekla (c) takes on Starlight Kid for the AEW Women's World Championship

Thekla's battle with New Japan and Stardom began almost immediately after Double or Nothing. He put three competitors on the final pay-per-view and persuaded Japanese wrestling promotions to send the best. They committed themselves. Starlight Kid was the former champion of Stardom and Thekla has the Triangle of Madness behind him, Starlight Kid has Neo Genesis in his corner. Thekla has proven to be one of the best female players in the world and she will prove that again on Sunday night.
Prediction: Thekla holds a tough game.

Mercedes Moné vs. Maya World

Everything depends on this. Owen Hart Women's Cup final between Mercedes Moné and Maya World with a shot at the AEW Women's World Championship on the line at All In. Moné is the CEO and one of the best in the ring. He returned to AEW as an underdog and has been on a tear ever since. The world belongs to the up and comers riding the wave of the finals. The world proved to be too much for him to take down any opponent that came his way. Everything is perfect for Sunday's game.
Prediction: Mercedes Moné wins and goes All In.

Kenny Omega vs. Zack Saber Jr.

Sometimes, a match that isn't in the main event can steal the show. Pro wrestling fans saw that in Double or Nothing between Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada. Sunday may be different when Kenny Omega and Zack Saber Jr. getting into their old ropes that they will wear. Omega and Saber are two of the best in the world and what they will bring to the ring needs no explanation. Stay tuned and watch this one.

Will Ospreay vs. Swerve Strickland

Will Ospreay has sworn and asserted everything that he will attend the All In event at Wembley Stadium. He has kept his promise thus far, but faces familiar foes in Swerve Strickland in the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament. There is a lot of emotion behind the final here and it will be on display during the match. Ospreay and Strickland both want to be at the top of AEW and show that they are more than capable of taking on that challenge.
Prediction: Will Ospreay see his dream come true and defeat Swerve Strickland.

Team Briscoe vs. MJF and The Don Callis Family in a 12-man steel cage match

AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman takes on Mark Briscoe as Briscoe tries to challenge for his title. MJF has a laundry list of reasons why Briscoe shouldn't be able to challenge but left out a few things – Briscoe's toughness and heart. Briscoe and his team will have to defeat MJF and his team in a steel cage match to get that shot. Briscoe's team includes Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, Kyle O'Reilly, Konosuke Takeshita and Darby Allin. The MJF team includes Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika Okada and Andrade El Idolo.
Prediction: Team Briscoe wins in a brutal match.
