How Homecoming Star Raises Cast Between Age-Gap Couples

During a special interview with Us Weekly before the show's return on Saturday, April 18, Laflamme-Snow, 26, noted that there are unanswered questions between her character, Alice, and former love interest Nick.

“I feel like people – myself included – are really drawn to the story of Nick and Alice,” he said. “I'm not suggesting something crazy about the age difference. But I have a feeling that back in the 90s – that early summer – would be great.”

The Way Homewhich premiered in 2023, introduces three generations of women in the Landry family who stumble upon a pond on their property that allows them to travel through time. Alice was the first to discover this, which led to her going back in time to when her mother, Kat (Cyler Leigh), was his age. That paved the way for Alice to find love with young Kat (Alex Hook) and young Elliot (David Webster) childhood friend, Nick (Samuel Braun).

“I feel like people are still stuck on the love story of Nick and Alice,” he said. “That would satisfy me, but I feel like we've done what we set out to do so there's no pieces I'm going to be missing right now.”

Laflamme-Snow has spoken to him before Us about how The Way Home it would make Nick a part of Alice's future. “Kerry James – who plays Nick – is so much fun to work with,” he shared in January 2025. “It's funny to see them acting like they don't know each other but also being forced in a small town to keep bumping into each other. Well done.”

He continued: “Obviously, there are things that the heart wants, but we also watch the actors navigate through that. One of the truths about the show is that we see the actors not always getting what they think they want.”

Looking forward, the three spoke to them Us ahead of the show's fourth and final season about what to expect.

“One never knows,” Leigh, 44, who plays Kat, shared how the series will wrap up. “Our show's creators, Heather Conkie, Alexandra Clark and Marly Reed, [did their best] so that we can tie as much as possible in that limited field. I don't know how they do it.”

Laflamme-Snow agreed when she told us that the creators are “targeting and adapting to what the audience is interested in.”

“The most important thing about The Way Home is that it was done with great care,” he noted. “No part of us wants to leave anyone hanging, and that has gone into every decision and everything we've done this season.”

The Way HomeIt premieres its fourth and final season on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, April 19, at 9 pm ET.
