Days of Our Lives: Big Couple Shakeups & Heartbreaking Breakups – Shocking Twists Coming Soon!

Days of Our Lives may see major relationship changes coming this spring with shake-ups, separations, and exchange of lovers as the personal lives of Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord), Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez), Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark), and many others become messy and shocking.

And based on the secrets being kept and revealed and May's sweep starting next week on April 23rd, I think we're going to see some big upheavals for some romantic couples. Let's talk about who finds new love, who reconciles, and who breaks up.

Stephanie Johnson and Jeremy Horton on Days of Our Lives

First of all, there has been a lot of attention lately on Stephanie Johnson and Jeremy Horton. We've all seen Stephanie flounder after being rescued from Owen Kent's mental clutches. Stephanie experiences nightmares and PTSD. And to be honest, he's not the same anymore.

In addition, she does not get along well with her new husband, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson). Try as he might, Alex just can't please Stephanie. And part of the problem is that she won't let Alex in and won't talk to her about what's going on in her head. And on top of that, he frustrates Stephanie by being overprotective, which she doesn't see as control, and that's a problem.

Jeremy Understands Stephanie on DOOL

Meanwhile, we have the wonderful Jeremy in Salem. And you look at him kindly, you know, not in a bad way. When Stephanie attacked Alex for telling Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) that she quit The Titan the writer. that's when Jeremy ran to him. And they have that responsibility for trauma. And then, he comforted Stephanie. And you really get it.

Jeremy finds out because he was Owen Kent's (Wes Ramsey) prisoner, too. Then Stephanie and Jeremy hugged. at that moment Alex approached them. And I think Stephanie will continue to turn to Jeremy at least until Michael Roark ends his run as Jeremy on April 29. But before he's out, you know, Stephanie and Jeremy can get close and a hug on a park bench can turn into hitting the sheets when emotions run high.

Also, Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) will present Alex with a surprise when she returns on Friday, April 24, as the sweep begins. So, we're going to see a shakeup in Stephanie and Alex's marriage somehow. If she ever gets close to Jeremy, it could end her marriage with Alex. And since Joy came back with the baby, you know, we saw a wonderful new kind of relationship.

Theo Carver and Jada Hunter on dates

Now I want to talk about a new couple that may soon be fighting. And that's Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu). He and Theo have had a good few days. They played chess. They gossip, but he's not happy that Jada is getting her hands on Shawn Brady's recovery.

It is understood that Theo does not like the woman he is in love with when his ex-girlfriend moves into his house. He knows that Jada and Shawn used to be an item, but Jada tries to convince Theo that she and Shawn agree that they are better as friends than lovers. Plus, that was a few years ago. It's not like it's anything new.

And of course Jada is feeling this vibe off. And he told Gabi that he thinks trivia night could be his last day for Theo. He then bailed and told Gabi that he was out of power. Theo has been seemingly lost all night and we know that his mother Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) is on his mind.

But Theo was also disturbed by the thought of Jada and Shawn living together. And of course Theo loves Gabi and knows her big dirty corporate espionage secret. So, there's a lot of trouble in that and Gabi even follows Theo to comfort him.

Days of Our Lives: Jada and Shawn Are Set to Reunite

And there is this a Days of Our Lives posts on social media from a few weeks ago that Jada and Shawn are set to reunite as a couple. And that was that they had a couple talking and they had Jada and Shawn confirming that they were a couple. So, there's that floating around.

I suspect that Theo might break up with Jada before they get too deep for Shawn's sake, for Lexie's sake, and for Gabi's sake. And Theo might appreciate Philip's request to consult with him The Titan so Theo can position himself where he can interfere with Philip and Gabi's relationship. Also, Theo keeps Gabi's biggest secret from Philip.

So, not only will we see Theo and Jada break up again to find Shawn, but we'll also see Philip and Gabi break up. And if Theo can manage their breakup while keeping his hands clean, he might end up with Gabi.

Connor Floyd Starts Like Chad DiMera in Days

And don't forget, we have Connor Floyd making his debut as the new Chad DiMera on April 21. He and his newly abandoned children, Thomas and Charlotte, are returning from their long vacation in Phoenix. Chad left Salem with his children to reunite and reconnect after the last terrible fight with Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford).

And that split bridged the gap between when Billy Flynn stopped recording and when Chad and Connor Floyd started recording. So in order to settle the settlement agreement with his in-laws, Chad signed legal documents that included a clause saying he would not date Cat again. And I totally get why Jen and Jack and Thomas don't want them together.

Days of Our Lives: A Cat Finds Mercy

After all, Cat tricked the family into believing that Abigail was resurrected. But we saw Cat and Chad making things right. You know, you know that Cat only did it to save her mother from the evil Clyde Weston (James Read), the same guy who killed dear Abby.

And Cat and Chad started to develop a good friendship and started dating before it all came to a head. Back in the Billy Flynn days, little Rachel Black (now Lorelei Olivia Mote) yelled at Thomas that she saw Chad and Cat kissing.

And Rachel told Thomas that Cat pretended to be Thomas' dead mother, Abby, when she first came to Salem. So Thomas was furious with Chad and matched and Jennifer was furious with Chad's sight. So Chad had to end things with Cat.

Days of Our Lives: New Chad Is Exploding With a Cat?

But that's not enough as Thomas sees Chad and Cat in a friendly hug and misreads things and Thomas runs away from the cars. And that incident is what started Chad's war against Jennifer in the first place. But when the new Chad comes, he and Kati, you know, they might see each other again because sparks might fly.

And maybe Thomas caught a cold while they were out of town. And he won't explode over Chad and Cat. Also, new Chad may be jealous when he sees how close Cat and his brother EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) have become in his absence. And of course, Cat is just flirting with EJ, but she seems to be developing feelings for him. So, we might see Cat form a new couple with one of the DiMera dudes.

Now, whether that's good Chad because he talked to his kids about this, or hunky dimpled EJ, my personal favorite, remains to be seen. But we definitely have a big shake-up that comes with a lot of relationships in Salem. So, which couples survive and succeed, which fade, and which new pairs emerge from the ashes of the impending breakup? Well, we'll have to wait and see.
