Kim Kardashian Explains Holiday Post Amid Grandma's Death

Kim Kardashian is clearing up the frenzy about her latest holiday book on social media after some fans questioned the timing.
The founder of Skims, 45, posted a series of happy family photos on his Instagram on Thursday, July 16, showing him and his loved ones enjoying a happy break. “Lake life,” he captioned the photo.
The post went live at the same time Chris Jenner announced the death of his mother, Mary Jo “MJ” Shannonin 91.
The moment left fans scratching their heads, with some accusing Kardashian of insensitivity.
“Didn't your grandmother pass?
Others supported Kardashian however, with one person commenting, “Do you really think she would post this on purpose at the same time as news of her grandmother's passing broke? Obviously a staged post. Get a grip.”
In response to the confusion, Kardashian took to the comments section to clarify what happened, confirming that it was in fact a staged post.
“This post was planned a few days ago before we lost MJ, so its timing came with his passing,” he explained. “I've been by my mom and grandma's side this past week, and my heart is completely with my family right now. We love and miss her deeply, and in the days ahead, we'll focus on celebrating her beautiful life 🕊️🤍.”
An hour later, Kardashian paid tribute to her late grandmother.
“My dear grandma MJ, my best friend, my best friend, my forever twin… You taught us all the value of family, and those values are something we will carry forever!!!!! You were the woman who showed me what it means to be a strong business woman. You gave me my first job at your store in San Diego and taught me lessons about good work ethic since I wrote Karshi.”
The caption continued, “You always believed in me, fought for me, and were my safe haven. You were truly the matriarch of our family, and your love went out to all of us. I know you are at peace now. Give Dad Harry, Aunt Karen, and my dad a hug. You will always be a part of me, I love you so much and I will miss you forever and ever.”
