Days of Our Lives: Lexie's Emotional Deathbed Plea to Paulina – Fans Left Heartbroken

Days of Our Lives saw Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) cold as ice towards Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) since her awakening. But things may change dramatically when Lexie is hospitalized after another terrifying fall.

Abe Carver's (James Reynolds) wife is on her deathbed soon and that will change everything. Let's talk about what Lexie would ask Paulina as her last wish on her deathbed.

Days of Our Lives: Lexie Carver is Back from the Dead

So, Lexie has given Paulina nothing but grief since her brother EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and the family's mad scientist Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) raised him from the dead. Honestly, it was impressive to drag Lexie back from the dead after 15 years.

But Rolf and EJ were determined to bring Lexie back to life once science could fight the brain tumor that killed her. And remember, this was Stefano DiMera's (Joseph Mascolo) dying wish. And of course, all of Salem was surprised to see Lexie among the living, especially Abe and Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews). We know that EJ kept Lexie quiet for as long as possible.

DOOL: EJ Shocks Paulina

The problem was a modern secret lab under the University Hospital that was set up by EJ needed a ton of electricity and Paulina kept using her mayoral powers to try and shut down EJ and the lab. And then Paulina finally confronts EJ about the power grid, threatening to shut it all down.

So, he takes Paulina down to a secret workshop which he threatens to be dismantled by the investigators. So, EJ decided to show Paulina his big secret project and that was the nuclear truth bomb that EJ dropped on Paulina. He couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Lexie who loves Abe in the underwear and EJ undressed her and told Paulina that she can close it and Lexie's chance to wake up will be over.

And of course, Paulina was terrified and she wasn't going to play God with Lexie's life hanging in the balance like that. So in the end, Paulina allowed EJ and Rolf to continue their work and Paulina agreed to keep Abe and Theo a secret because EJ wasn't entirely sure that the whole process would work.

Days of Our Lives: Paulina Consumed by Guilt and Fear

Now, at the time, Paulina felt guilty for keeping this from Abe and was worried about what it would mean if Lexie really came back to life. Not long after that, EJ decided to show Theo that his mother, Lexie, was coming back to them. And of course, EJ does nothing without motivation in mind.

He knew that if Theo focused on Lexie and her awakening, he would step aside CEO then Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) can take over. And that was made even better because Abe had asked EJ to help Theo out CEO a chair. EJ didn't include him. If you remember, Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) brought him to town to do it for him. CEO.

Abe's World Turned Upside Down in Days

So, Abe was the last to find out that Lexie was coming back to them just before the rest of Salem found out. And Abe and Lexie's reunion was truly bittersweet. Abe had continued with Paulina for many years, after Lexie's death. And he made this beautiful blended family with him and Paulina and Theo and Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and now the grandchildren. But Paulina told Lexie that she would back off from Abe so that she and Lexie could have their happy reunion.

And even though Paulina was kind, you know, Lexie was so mean about everything. I mean, it wasn't like Paulina stole her husband or messed with Lexie in any way, shape, or form. It's as if the writers forgot when Paulina was on her deathbed. Do you remember when Lexie Spirit came and told Paulina that it wasn't time for her to go yet? And the spirit Lexie told Paulina that she had to live for Abe. Lexie said that Abe could not lose two wives, but Lexie who was not awakened by the spirit was a very small thing. It was honestly heartbreaking to watch Paulina mourn the end of her marriage Days of Our Lives.

Days of Our Lives: Lexie's Terminal Decline and Deathbed Wishes

The flowers that Abe had given her on their fifteenth birthday in June were of great concern to Paulina. And then Abe had to tell her that Lexie's death certificate was revoked and that meant her marriage license to Paulina was revoked.

So, it was as if Abe and Paulina had never been married. But now, Lexie has taken a turn for the worst. And you know he was already worried when he trembled with certain signs.

Then they found some test mice that had received a serum formula similar to his had died. But Rolf gave Lexie another batch of serum, a new batch he had fined, and helped her. But then his symptoms came back and got worse.

And when Rolf tried another batch of serum, it didn't help Lexie at all. So, now that's it. There are no other options. Rolf has left town because the police are looking for him. And she informs Rita to tell EJ that there is nothing else she can do for Lexie.

Lexie Is Not Ready To Give Up Her Second Chance On DOOL

Also, we know that Nikki Crawford only had a six-month run as Lexie. That's about to go up. Theo and Abe are about to lose Lexie again, and she recently confided in Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) that she is dying. Of course, Marlena is devastated to hear what happened to Lexie.

And Marlena, of course, has to keep this conversation a secret. And Lexie needs to tell Abe and Theo herself. But the thing is, Lexie isn't ready to do that right now. He loves the second chance he got and actually told EJ about bringing him back before the science was more certain. Then when Lexie was there DiMera mansion, he suddenly fainted.

EJ put her on the couch and Rita reminded EJ. Rolf said that Lexie would be very faint and she would be gone. And that's getting closer to the day. So, EJ is worried. And I suspect that Lexie will pass out again if she is with Theo and Abe or when they get home and find her passed out they rush her to the hospital.

Days of Our Lives: Lexie's Time Is Almost Up

We know from the summer promo that Lexie is in a hospital bed soon, you know but she looks sick and Theo and Abe are around her and EJ shows up to see her sister and Abe are mad at her to get out. Well, I'm sure Lexie will want to see her brother EJ before he dies again.

And I suspect that Lexie might want to talk to Paulina now that she knows her time is up and she's going to die forever. Lexie won't get a third chance. And he already knows how much his death hurt Abe.

He told Lexie that he didn't last very long. Then he met Paulina and finally reunited after ten years of mourning. So I guess Lexie wouldn't want Abe to be the only one grieving his death again. There isn't much Lexie can do for Theo, but she can do something for Abe.

So, I suspect that Lexie is making a death wish to Paulina. But first, you know, we're going to see Lexie maybe ask Paulina to forgive her for the way she behaved. And then I think Lexie will ask Paulina to be there and reconcile with Abe and Lexie's change.

Lexie Asks Paulina to babysit Abe on dates

So, I think he doesn't want Abe to get lost in grief and live alone for another decade. And Lexie knows that Paulina loves Abe and vice versa. At least Lexie got a chance to fall in love with Abe again for a while. And he got a chance to know that Theo is a grown man. But I think Lexie is asking Paulina to be there so Abe can come over and hug her when Lexie passes.

Given the way things are going for her right now, Lexie should probably talk to Paulina soon because I'm not sure how much time Lexie has left, but it doesn't look like much. And Lexie might tell Abe that she has her own deathbed request. Lexie might tell Abe that she has his blessing and that he should be with Paulina once she's gone.

Days of Our Lives: Lexie Tells Abe to Move On

Now, I'm sure Abe won't want to have that conversation, but I think Lexie will be pragmatic and tell Abe, “I don't want you to be alone. You promised me you'll get back to Paulina,” and she might ask the same of Abe's ex. I don't know if she is a wife now because their marriage ended. But I think that's what Lexie will ask Paulina on her deathbed.
