“I would really like to date someone who has been in my life, that's what I'm thinking,” he revealed. “[Someone] which I know has a proven track record of support. I think with men, it's really easy – in my experience – to say they like all the things I do and appreciate them, but then they end up getting mad at me about it and want to change me and my experience with dating. That's what I saw play out [out] repeatedly.”

He added, “So, maybe dating someone who has been a part of my life or from the past that I know supports me and loves me and my work and my family, and I have a proven track record for him, the one I want to be with.”

You know, there was no rush to move the districts so quickly. “

He continued, “Having someone in Texas would obviously be amazing, because my family is here and I'd love to stay in Texas for a long time and raise a family here the way I was raised here. So I'd love to get someone in Texas, and a lot of Texas guys are cowboys. So they're not off the table for me. We'll see.”
